FOR THE VIDEOS ABOUT THE CAR, PLEASE SEE THE PICS FOR THE LINK.

You are viewing a stellar condition 1999 Lotus Esprit.  This vehicle has been stored indoors its entire life.   For a large chunk of its life it was stored in a climate controlled car bubble.  Its mechanic told me that THIS WAS ONE OF 123 Esprits that was imported to the United States in 1999. This car has an excellent AUTOCHECK record, which I encourage bidders to check out prior to bidding.  It will show the mileage history to show that the miles are spot on.  NO ACCIDENTS, NOTHING.  It is beautiful. Currently, the vehicle is stored inside a carpeted garage, which is nicer than most family rooms.  This is the lowest mileage LOTUS that I have ever seen at its age.  It’s also the best condition one I have ever seen.  It looks like it did on the showroom floor when it was new.  It even still smells like new.  NEVER smoked in.  NEVER raced or tested at the track.    Also, since it lives in Las Vegas, it has to stay out of the sun.  It usually only comes out for evening drives at sundown and loves the temperature.

It recently had a full look through and service at the LOTUS specialist in town.  It had its wheel bearings replaced and every inch of the car looked over.  The mechanic, who has worked on a multitude of these vehicles, has never seen one in this great of shape.  The cost for the above was $1000.  The only thing that acts up on the car is the ABS light. The reason it is acting up is because the sensors are very sensitive and when the bearings were replaced I was told that they need to go in to re-adjust the sensors to keep the light from going off.

I have included a ton of great photos along with a few videos.  You can hear the car running in one or two of the videos.  You can hear it purr like a kitten.

This car also has a custom trickle charge system installed so you can easily just plug the car right into the charger.  I am including the charger with the auction.  I believe this was about $400 to install.

The car has two keyless entry key remotes along with one engine kill deactivator.   One of the keyless entry remotes needs a new rubber connector.  This doesn’t impact the operation of it by any means. The car’s factory alarm is fully functional.

The car has power windows. The factory floor mats look brand new.

The car also has the glass top with it.  I usually keep the painted top on the car.  I feel that it looks more streamlined with it in vs. the glass top.

The rims are in great shape.  They just have a few chips in the typical spots since the rims are so even with the tires.  These are the typical chips that would be picked up with driving.  I have included video and good photos that you can see that they are in great shape.

This car runs like a champ, it never over heats, both of its turbos will lock you to the seat.  Once again, all of this was tested on the last service from the mechanic.

The tires are in excellent shape with no signs of dry rotting.  The tread looks to be at 70% or more.

The stereo is the original factory ALPINE that is in perfect working order.

The paint is in amazing shape.  I only use the softest of clothes on it and when it gets detailed we use very minimal water on it.  Speaking of water, it has never been driven in water or rain.  If there is any fear of rain, it goes home immediately.

If there is a picture that I have not included, please let me know.  I have tried to hit every single angle and be as accurate as possible.  This car is 100% capable of going to BARRETT JACKSON.  It is an amazing vehicle and could really be a great piece in someone’s collection.  I wish I had the room to keep it myself.

Please pay particular attention to the photo of the steering wheel, which is often an area that easily shows wear and tear. That is NOT the case with this car; like the rest of the car, the steering wheel looks practically brand new.

Now for the fun legal stuff:  This car is being sold as-is with no warranty express or implied.  It is being sold with a clear NEVADA title.  Buyer is responsible for obtaining his or her own insurance immediately.  Seller has done the best of his ability to describe this vehicle as accurately as possible.  Seller is not responsible for any damage done to the vehicle during transport.  Buyer must pay for and arrange at his or her own expense shipping/ transport of this vehicle.   Once this vehicle leaves the SELLER’S possession it is then the responsibility of the BUYER 100%.  Anything that happens from that point on is the responsibility of the BUYER.  Payment must be made in full prior to the vehicle leaving the SELLER’S possession.  By bidding on this auction or winning this auction BUYER agrees to not dispute the deposit in any way shape or form.  In the event BUYER disputes the deposit, he or she will be responsible for any and all court costs related to getting that deposit back including court costs, attorney’s fees, private investigation fees and or any other fee that could possibly occur due to having to recover said deposit.  Buyer will also sign a standard bill of sale in addition to this auction for both parties records.  The mileage is subject to change a little because I am still driving the vehicle.  It won't exceed 9850 though by the time someone gets it.  I just take her out to get the blood flowing some.

The deposit can be through PayPal.  The remaining balance through certified funds.

Please see all the great pics.  For someone that wants a top notch, stellar quality extremely rare Lotus to add to their collection, this is the one.  Please let me know if you have any questions that pertain to your interest in this auction.

Check out the pics, you will never find a Lotus this close to showroom quality!

Lotus settles with ex-CEO Dany Bahar, avoids London High Court

Sun, 25 May 2014

Five years after it began, it appears the Dany Bahar tenure at Lotus is finally over. After former Lotus owner Proton brought in the ex-Ferrari and Red Bull marketing savant to run the company in 2009, everything had gone pear-shaped by 2012: Proton had been sold to Malaysian auto supplier DRB-Hicom, who suspended Bahar and then fired him for what it said were expense-account transgressions (although Bob Lutz reportedly said something different).
The separation led to the expected suit and countersuit, Lotus going after Bahar to get its money back, Bahar filing a $10.6-million suit againt Lotus for wrongful termination and potential bonus money. The case was set to go to trial next month but both parties have settled, the terms undisclosed, a DRB-Hicom statement saying only that "the parties involved in the legal suit have signed a Settlement Agreement and Release... and have agreed to withdraw their claims against each other."
Now that that bit of housecleaning is all cleared up, can new CEO Jean-Marc Gales please get our Esprit?

It'll be up for download on Xbox Live on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 for 400 MS Points. As usual, if you have the Forza Horizon Season Pass you can get them all free, and Season Pass holders will also get a bonus car that's not pictured: the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.
The Pagani is everything opposite to that Vandura, but while you might not ever win anything with the van, you can always use the back of it as a place to give out free hugs. Check out the video and press release below for more details.

Lotus signs Pastor Maldonado to replace Raikkonen

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

The team currently known as Lotus has had a long string of accomplished drivers behind the wheel, including world champions like Nelson Piquet, Michael Schumacher, Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen. But Kimi is returning to Ferrari next season, leaving a big question mark over who would fill his seat. And now we have our answer.
Lotus has just announced that it has signed Pastor Maldonado to partner with Romain Grosjean for next season. The surprise winner of the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix has been driving for Williams for the past three seasons, signed after he won the GP2 title in 2010. Though lauded as an emerging talent, Maldonado is clearly not the accomplished champion Raikkonen is, however Lotus apparently needs the money which Maldonado brings with him in the form of sponsorship from the Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA.
Meanwhile, Romain Grosjean, also a former GP2 champion, has been with the team for some time now, starting as its test driver in 2008, promoted for one season to the race seat in 2009, and returning again in 2012. He's been the second driver at Lotus ever since, achieving career-best second-place finishes at the 2012 Canadian Grand Prix and 2013 United States Grand Prix. Whether it will be Grosjean (who gets the higher number) or Maldonado that emerges as the dominant force at Lotus remains to be seen. Scroll down for the complete press release.
