1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer not running but in restorable condition or for parts. Body in good shape no accidents or rust holes. Starter shot, no battery, steering column loose, power window on tailgate and drivers side not working. Tranny sometimes shifted into neutral when stopped mostly worked OK. Interior is decent but headliner is sagging. Brakes should be OK as well as exhaust but not guaranteed. Odometer shows 123,995 or less and the motor was replaced at about 87,000 by the dealer according to the doctor I bought it from.. Car is located 3 1/2 miles off Rt 27 past Eustis, Me. on my private property. Buyer must remove - I have no phone in camp, no internet, no electricity so be prepared to tow her out. Both right tires are flat but I have pumped them up in the past. Buyer will receive the keys and title by mail or in person if you come when I'm still here in camp. I'll call the winner with directions to the car. I may come out of the woods on Sunday to so if you have questions I'll log on then.

Jeep does Renegade Chinese-style with Zi You Xia design concept
Sat, 19 Apr 2014As we mentioned, Jeep is bringing a quartet of concepts to the Beijing Motor Show this year. Its largest model, the Grand Cherokee, is nowhere to be found, but its smallest is. That, of course, would be the new Renegade, which has been done up as the Zi You Xia design concept.
Taking its name from the Mandarin word (or words) for "rebel," the Zi You Xia takes its inspiration from the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, with a Warm Chocolate Gray paintjob with contrasting dark bronze trim. The roof, grille and mirror caps are color-keyed to match the rest of the exterior, riding on 20-inch alloys in the same dark bronze finish.

Jeep gunning to build 250,000 Cherokees a year
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Contrary to what a certain politician may have said last year about Jeep moving to China, the automaker is in fact doing the opposite, with plans to greatly increase the production capacity at its Toledo North Assembly plant in Ohio. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that there are big plans for the 2014 Jeep Cherokee and Toledo North, as a local union president has informed the newspaper that Chrysler is planning to produce around 250,000 examples of the new midsize utility per year.
To put this number into context, 250,000 units is more than what Jeep Liberty sales totaled here over the last three years combined. Even taking into consideration that the 250,000 units will be distributed beyond US borders, that's an ambitious volume figure full-stop - and that's without taking into consideration the new Cherokee's love/hate design. In its favor, though, Jeep is making remarkable inroads globally as of late, and the Cherokee's size could work well in emerging markets. To get that kind of output from Toledo's Cherokee assembly line, Chrysler will reportedly hire 1,105 new workers - that's in addition to the 200 workers already being hired to build the popular Jeep Wrangler, which is itself expected to top 220,000 units this year.
