This is a California jeep that has been in and around the LA area for it’s life.  It has been in Texas since I purchased it a handful of months ago.  My circumstances have changed and the Jeep needs to go.   I have used this Jeep very little during my ownership.  I never licensed it here in Texas or did anything for that matter.  The engine starts and runs reliably.  It runs smooth and quiet.  The mileage is correct.  The Jeep is rust free and accident free.  It does, because it is a Jeep, have minor bumps, bruises, and dings here and there.   The body is clean.  The body sports the original decals but someone has done a lousy repaint around them.  The interior paint is original and with red oxide primer showing in the floor boards (it is not rust).   Jeep has a four speed transmission that shifts easily (for a Jeep).  The seats are original with no rips or tears.  The dash has no cracks and is in good shape.  The gauges are in good shape.  That I can tell, the engine and the transmission are original and have never been out of the vehicle.   No cracks in the glass.  Comes with full factory original doors.  This Jeep is good to go.  Jeep is garaged.

Jeep has a new best top bikini top, new carpet (not installed), new rearview mirrors and some latches, floor mats, owner’s manual

Jeep needs- new spare tire (old and worn)AND snorkel for the air cleaner

JEEP IS BEING SOLD LOCALLY SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION AT ANYTIME.  PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS.  YOU ARE WELCOME TO INSPECT THE VEHILCE PRIOR TO PURCHASE.  THANKS.

Jeep teases pair of Moab concepts early

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

With the 47th annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari coming up at the end of this month, Jeep is preparing to roll out six new off-road-ready concept vehicles. The first two being teased are the Jeep Grand Cherokee "Trailhawk II" concept and the Jeep Wrangler "Slim," and while we have no information on either, we at least get an idea of what they'll look like.
We can't tell why this Wrangler is called Slim, but it has a nice black-and-red paint scheme with a serious off-roading front bumper and five-spoke beadlock wheels. There's even less we can figure out about the Grand Cherokee's Trailhawk II concept except that it appears to be painted up in the same Crusher Orange paint job as the recently introduced SRT Viper TA. We'll likely more of these as well as peeks at the other Moab concepts as we get closet to this year's Moab Easter Jeep Safari, which will be held March 23 through 31.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Jeep appears to have nailed it this time. After two decades of assembling its Grand Cherokee sport utility vehicle, the American automaker has finally delivered a world-class off-roader capable of taking on everything in its segment - and more - with a high likelihood of coming out on top.
And if you drove last year's model, it's time to climb behind the wheel again as Jeep has significantly updated the SUV for 2014 with a bold new exterior appearance, an upgraded interior with enhanced electronics and a new transmission that completely transforms the way it drives.
We recently spent a full week with a dark blue 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4, a well-optioned model fitted with the standard gasoline-fed V6. While it didn't have the punch of the range-topping V8-powered SRT8, or the fuel-sipping economy of its new EcoDiesel sibling, the high-volume variant left us quite impressed.

2014 Jeep Cherokee facing production delay

Fri, 17 May 2013

Jeep's bold-faced new direction spearheaded by the 2014 Cherokee is facing some teething issues. According to a report by the Detroit Free Press, production start-up of the controversial new utility vehicle at its Toledo North facility is running about a month behind schedule "due to a wide range of issues." That's according to Mark Chernoby, senior vice president of engineering at Chrysler.
Chernoby maintains that the issues being encountered aren't unusual for the launch of a new vehicle - particularly one with a new powertrain - and he downplayed the delay, telling Jeep dealers that they "will have ample inventory of the midsize SUV by fall." Among the kinks being worked out? Calibrating the Cherokee's cutting-edge ZF nine-speed automatic transmission and refining assembly line tasks to make the process more efficient.
Chrysler expects to start building retail-ready versions of the Cherokee around mid-June, with official sales slated to start in September.
