If you've been looking for a nice Cherokee that's not full of rust, runs out great and has a good look to it but don't want to spend a ton than my 2001 4x4 with 112k is for you.

Mechanically this Jeep is solid. Motor sounds healthy through all the RPM's. Transmission pulls nice through all the gears with no funny shifts or slipping. Drives nice and runs out well down the road with no brake pulse or wandering. Tires have about 65% tread left. A/C is ice cold. Has a good PA inspection until 6/13 so everything is above PA spec. All the power windows work. Seems to have been well cared for mechanically over the years.

Cosmetically it's also in great shape. Paint shines nice in the sun. Body is nice and straight with 1 door ding on the drivers side rear door. Although it's in well above average condition for the year and miles it's not "in the wrapper" condition. Has a couple little nicks on the one door and hood as you can in the pictures. Underneath is nice and clean and not all rusted out. Interior is nice and fresh and in good shape. Has a little tear on the drivers front seat that was stitched up. Overall very nice and clean though. Carpets and headliner in good shape.

Overall this is a very nice Cherokee all the way around. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 717-823-3349. My name is Zach. If you would like to see it please call and make an appointment. I am only human and may have forgot something that is important to you so please ask any and all questions before clicking. A $500 non refundable deposit is due at the end of the auction. This Jeep is being sold by Platinum Car and Truck Sales, LLC in Elizabethtown, PA.

China orders Jeep to investigate Wrangler fire risk

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

It's been some time since we've heard anything about fires related to the Jeep Wrangler (foreign or domestic), but it sounds like the go-anywhere SUV could be in hot water once again in China. Bloomberg is reporting that the Chinese government is ordering Jeep to investigate the matter and, in the meantime, also recommending Wrangler owners to not drive their vehicles in "extreme conditions" due to a "relatively high risk" of catching on fire.
There is no indication as to how many vehicles or which model years are affected, but the previous fire problems in both the US and China - which led to investigations but no recalls - were traced back to automatic transmission fluid leaks. The article, however, does not say what the potential problem is this time around as Jeep has not released a comment on the matter. The official notice, in Chinese, can be found here.

Chrysler recalling 31k SUVs and vans

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

Chrysler is issuing recalls covering roughly 31,700 vehicles worldwide due to two separate problems. In both cases the company believes that most of the affected vehicles are either still on, or in transit to, dealer lots.
One recall covers roughly 10,700 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT models from the 2014 model year built between January 16 and April 17, 2014. The SUVs need a software update for the cruise control. It's possible that when the cruise is on and the driver presses on the throttle, the acceleration could last a second after the pedal is released or two seconds for the SRT. Afterward, they return to the speed originally set by the driver.
Chrysler says it isn't aware of any accidents, injuries or even reported incidents of this happening in the real world. Also, in all cases, if the driver presses on the brake, the cruise shuts off. The automaker believes that there are about 6,100 affected SUVs in the US, 950 in Canada, 425 in Mexico and 3,200 outside of North America. The software upgrade will be ready shortly, the company says.

Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.
