2004 Honda S2000 on 2040-cars

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED EMAIL ME AT: zackaryzwwestervoorde@spoiltbrats.net .
If you are looking for a Honda S2000 that is showroom new, look no further. I purchased this gem from the original
owners in 2014. I had planned to put it up for a decade but my priorities have changed so now is your opportunity
to own a beautiful example of Honda engineering. 240 HP 2.2 Liter DOHC 16 valve VTEC engine with 6 speed manual
tranny. This S2000 is in perfect mechanical condition. I have every record of every service since it was new,
including the original window sticker and manuals. It is all original with no modifications. The original owners
were a 60 year old couple who babied the car and since I have had it, it has been stored in a climate controlled
garage and meticulously maintained . I have put approximately 2000 miles on it in 2.5 years. Cosmetically, it is
showroom new with the only flaw being a small scratch in the front bumper cover that does not show in the photos.
That's it! Everything works and there are no surprises. Want it inspected? I am happy to accommodate anyone you
want to send out to look at the car. Honda ceased production of the S2000 in 2008 and this pristine Suzuka Blue
example is already appreciating in price as gear heads seek this rare example of Honda high performance
engineering. Questions? Send me a note, I will be happy to discuss further.

New Honda Fit ousts Toyota Prius as Japan's top-selling car last month
Mon, 11 Nov 2013The Toyota Camry may lose its title as the best-selling car in the US next year and the Honda Civic has already managed to outsell the Toyota Corolla to become the top-selling compact in the US, but it looks like the domination woes have just hit Toyota on its own turf. Bloomberg reports that the all-new Honda Fit carries the distinction of being the best-selling car in Japan for October - the Fit's first full month on sale - outselling the popular Toyota Prius and Toyota Aqua (our Toyota Prius C).
Unlike the Camry's 16-year reign on US car sales, Japan's race seems a little tighter with the Fit most recently topping the sales charts in May 2011. Since then, though, the two Toyota hybrids have been the top two cars in for sale in Japan. The US won't get the next-gen Fit until the third quarter of 2014, but this new hatchback should be another solid option for buyers in the increasingly popular subcompact segment.
Finalists for 2014 Green Car of the Year announced
Thu, 17 Oct 2013The list of finalists for the 2014 Green Car of the Year has been announced, and in a genuinely bizarre twist, there's only one hybrid and no electric vehicles among the five contestants, despite the arrival of cars like the BMW i3 and Tesla Model S. Taking the place of the EVs are a pair of diesels, repping a technology that last won a Green Car of the Year award in 2009, when the Audi A3 TDI took the title. No diesel was in the running for last year's award.
Naturally, both of the diesel finalists are fielded by the Germans - with BMW's 328d and Audi's A6 TDI getting the nod. In the case of the 3 Series, BMW installed a 2.0-liter, turbodiesel, capable of delivering 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while returning 45 miles per gallon on the highway. Audi and its larger, 3.0-liter, V6 turbodiesel produce quite a bit more grunt, with 240 hp and 428 lb-ft of grunt, but net a very impressive 38 mpg on the highway in the A6.
Finalists for this year's awards include two diesels, three gas-powered cars and a plug-in hybrid.
Car and Driver lists 10Best for 2013, same as it ever was
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Forgive us for having the distinct feeling of déjà vu, but it certainly feels like we've been here before. By that we are referring Car and Driver and the announcement of its annual 10Best vehicles for 2013. To be sure, it's an impressive selection of cars that combine heart-pounding performance and frugal sensibilities, but it also represents something of a broken record on the part of C/D. We're not so sure that's a flaw, though, as the resulting list is tough to argue with.
Vehicles like the Ford Mustang, Porsche Boxster, and BMW 3 Series have maintained their high-horsepower spots on this list for several years now. Even on the more practical and nimble end, the Honda Accord, Honda Fit and Mazda Miata have not budged. These continued spots are even in light of redesigns for some vehicles such as the Accord, Boxster and 3 Series.
In fact, the only newcomer to the 10Best list this year are the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ twins, which knocked out the Cadillac CTS-V. We think it would have been a huge misstep to have excluded the FR-S/BRZ, even in light of the supercharged Caddy's lamentable departure from 10Best.
