1990 HONDA CIVIC DX HATCHBACK 1.5 LITER ENGINE.CAR IS LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA AREA.  MANUAL TRANSMISSION(STICK SHIFT).  THIS CAR WAS GIVEN TO ME BY MY FRIEND IN CALIFORNIA IN FALL OF 2007.  THE CAR HAS BEEN A TRUE BLESSING FOR ALL THESE YEARS.  BUT I DRIVE NEARLY AN HOUR TO WORK EACH DAY-ONE WAY.  SO I NEED A NEW VEHICLE.  THIS CAR HAS BEEN SERVICED REGULARLY.  AND AT MY LAST SERVICE BY ROCK HILL HONDA OF SOUTH CAROLINA  IT WAS NOTED THAT I AM BURNING OIL.  THE CAR HAS A LOT OF MILES ON IT. I AM A FEMALE AND I WOULD RATHER BUY A NEW CAR.

A NEW TIMING BELT WAS INSTALLED BY ROCK HILL HONDA OF SOUTH CAROLINA OCTOBER 4, 2010--THE ODOMETER 276,515.
MY FRIEND MAINTAINED THIS CAR RELIGIOUSLY.  IN 2007 HE INSTALLED NEW FRONT AND REAL SHOCKS AND NEW COILS ALSO.   THE TIRES ON THE CAR CAME FROM A BRAND NEW HONDA FIT(IN 2007).  THE RUBBER IS WORN, SO NEW TIRES WILL BE NEEDED PRETTY SOON.  THE CAR USED TO GET 38-40 MPG.  BUT NOW I'M ONLY GETTING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPG.  SO I HAVE DECIDED TO SELL NOW AND BUY A BRAND NEW HONDA CIVIC.

THE CAR HAD A NEW PAINTJOB IN 2007.  THERE ARE DINGS ON THE HOOD FROM A HALE STORM A FEW YEARS AGO.  SEE PHOTOS. NO RUST ON THE CAR.

THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS FINE.  A BOOK IS INCLUDED WITH NEARLY ALL RECEIPTS FROM WORK DONE ON THE CAR(SEE PHNOTO).  CAR HAS VIPER ALARM INSTALLED AND COMES WITH ONE REMOTE AND 2 KEYS.
THERE IS A FULL SPARE TIRE IN THE REAR-(ALSO FROM THE NEW HONDA FIT--WITH ALMOST NEW RUBBER).
THE TIRES HAVE ANTI THEFT WHEEL LOCKS ON THEM.  THE WHEEL LOCK KEY IS ALSO INCLUDED.
THERE IS A CD PLAYER/AM/FM RADIO WITH MP3 INPUT.

I HAVE INCLUDED A TON OF PHOTOS.  IF YOU NEED MORE PHOTOS PLEASE EMAIL ME.

THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON THE CAR, AS IT IS BEING SOLD AS IT.  BUT I AM STILL DRIVING THE CAR BACK AND FORTH TO WORK DAILY-NEARLY 60 MILES PER DAY.  IT IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO PICK UP THE CAR.  PAYMENT WITHIN 48 HOURS BY PAYPAL ONLY. YOU HAVE 7 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF SALE TO PICK UP THE CAR.  SALE ONLY TO BUYERS IN CONTINENTAL USA.

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains

Wed, 21 May 2014

If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.

Petrolicious profiles an 'original fanboy' and his 1987 Honda CRX Si

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

Christopher Hoffman is a guy I'd like to meet. He's profiled in the latest installment of Petrolicious, titled Original Fanboy, because of his love and dedication to his 1987 Honda CRX Si. And that's something I can relate to.
My personal car is a black 1988 Honda CRX Si. Road & Track executive editor Sam Smith sold it to me in December 2010 with some 93,000 miles on the odometer (and one bum tire!), and though I don't drive it nearly as much as I should, I'm madly in love with my little Honda. I take immense pride in owning this car, despite my recent neglect. As soon as we're done with this Polar Vortex crap here in the midwestern United States, I'm going to pull the CRX out of its wintertime storage and show it the love it deserves.
Like me, Hoffman fully understands the beauty of the CRX. It's not super powerful, or even quick (when it was new, its 0-60 time was just over 9 seconds), but it's extremely light, and comes from an era when Honda was churning out brilliantly simple cars. The steering is incredibly precise, the transmission perfect, and the chassis superb. Nearly 26 years after its birth, I adore every moment behind the wheel of my CRX. And thanks to this Petrolicious special, I know I'm not alone. Scroll down to watch the full episode.

2014 Honda Odyssey set to clean up in NY with world's first in-car vacuum

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

Much of the minivan segment's volume has been sucked up by the industry's ever-increasing appetite for crossovers, but a few major players are hanging in there, eager to serve as beasts of burden for America's families. Chief among those players is Honda, which is showing its revamped 2014 Odyssey at this week's New York Auto Show with a potential game-changing feature - an in-car vacuum.
Co-developed with Shop-Vac, the HondaVAC system will come standard on the range-topping Touring Elite model. The system includes a replaceable filter and canister bag, along with a range of attachments located in the cargo hold. Honda says this first-ever feature includes a hose that is long enough to clean the entire interior. Better still, the vacuum will run for up to eight minutes after the vehicle is turned off, so you can get every last Cheerio out of the seat cushions, and it never needs plugging in or recharging, as it runs off of the vehicle's electrical system.
In other news, the 2014 Odyssey gets a new aluminum hood and fenders to pair with its revamped grille and lower fascia. Headlamps get a more sinister look thanks to darker surrounds, and there are new LED taillamps out back, as well as revamped side mirrors on the doors. Underneath the skin, Honda says the 2014 Odyssey has received structural changes to help it ace the Insurance Institute For Highway Safety's new small-overlap frontal crash test, and it's also added active safety features like lane departure warning and forward collision warning to the optional features list.
