You are bidding on a 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport. This has been a daily driver since I bought it in 2005 it has a 351cc Cleveland motor 2 barrel stock from everything I know. I have never had the motor opened up. The motor and tranny are in good shape no leaks and does not smoke. Things I have done over the years replaced the carburetor, 4 new tires they now have about 20000 miles on them, replaced the ball joints and some of the bushing, recently replaced the back shocks, front shocks replaced about three years ago, we tinted the windows about 6 month ago, master cylinder was replaced 5 months age, starter replaced about a year ago, changed the radio to an FM CD player, added some 6X9 speakers, quarter window seals, front and rear emblems about 5 years ago and a bench seat cover.
Things that need attention she has some rust in the normal spots re-quarter panels, under the doors, trunk lid, under the vinyl top, a few spots on the hood, interior needs to be replaced, passenger front fender has a small dent, paint is starting to fade, power steering has a leak, gas gauge does not work along with the clock and tires are ok for now. If I can think of anything else I'll add it. The mileage posted is what the odometer reads I have NO IDEA of its accuracy.
I bought this car because it could be driven and worked on it wasn't someone else's jigsaw puzzle nor was it a trailer queen. She is affordable and can be enjoyed my son and I have done just that, she is a little better off than we found her.
I am selling this car in as is condition with warranty at all. All sales are final so PLEASE ask all the questions before you bid I will try to get you the info or picture if you need them asap. Bid to win if the price gets close to the reserve I may remove the reserve.
The car is in south Florida but was in TN for about five years.

Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine hasn't been around that long, but it sounds like the engine is getting to be fairly popular in the automaker's global car lineup. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford has add a second shift that will allow its German engine plant to double daily output from 500 engines to 1,000.

The increased capacity is part of a plan to sell more than 300,000 vehicles a year with this engine in Europe by 2015. Europe is currently the only market where the smallest of the EcoBoost engines is offered (including in the Focus pictured above), but US-spec Fiesta models will be getting this mill for 2014.
Three-cylinder engines are expected to continue to grow in popularity in coming years with the report indicating that global production of these engines will double by 2018 to 9.8 million units. General Motors, BMW and Mitsubishi are all expected to introduce three-cylinder engines in the near term, as well.
Ford has done it again. Like in April of 1964, there is once again an all-new Mustang Convertible sitting on the observation deck of New York City's Empire State Building. This has been in the making for a little while, with the first report that Ford would recreate the sky-high publicity stunt coming out a few weeks back.

The process of getting the Mustang up there wasn't exactly easy. A Troy, MI-based company chopped up the new droptop, a necessary evil to get the Mustang on the Empire State Building's only freight elevator that runs to the 86th floor observation deck. But it was slightly more involved than just taking the car apart. The company, DST, built a mockup of the ESB's freight elevators, and then practiced its cuts on a second pre-production Mustang Convertible (measure twice, cut once).
The result of all this work are the images you see above. Yes, sitting in the crisp, morning air of midtown Manhattan, over 1,000 feet up, is this brilliant, Triple Yellow Mustang. Line up any two comparable vehicles, and eople are going to want to race them. Need proof? In its latest track battle, Auto Express wants to know which commercial vehicle can lap a circuit faster - a Ford Transit or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Let's face it, neither of these European vans were ever meant to be near the track unless they are delivering a racecar and a ton of parts for a fun weekend, but it's massively fun to watch them give it a go anyway.
The one thing that Auto Express really illustrates here is the modern marvel that is stability control. The driver hops curves, and these big vans lean in the corners like your friend walking home from a long night at the bar. However, because of the amazing stability systems, the vans mostly keep all of their wheels planted and never seem close to getting sloppy, despite their behemoth size.
Unfortunately, the two vans aren't exactly fairly paired. The Ford has a dual rear axle and a few other advantages over the Mercedes, but it's still hilarious to watch them go. Even better, the host breaks down everything happening behind the wheel like these commercial vehicles were two Porsches. Enjoy watching this very unorthodox battle between Ford and Mercedes.
