This is a true barn find for you! This numbers matching Cleavland 351 V-8 runs great with no noise or smoke, and is original to the truck. Trans shifts great, both were rebuilt 20k ago, 13 or 14 years ago. Truck has been off the road in a barn for the last ten years. I rebuilt the carb, through some gas and a new battery and she runs great. Is in need of a fresh tank of gas and a full tune up. Stops and steers great. Wipers, horn and radio work fine, could use new speakers. Interior is decent for its age, needs a headliner for sure. Body only has a couple tiny spots of cancer just starting at the corners of the doors, easy fix. The floors are great, accept behind the seats, the spare tire well rotted out and is starting on the passenger side. The rear window leaked into the tire well, but its all flat sheet metal, again a pretty easy fix. Front floors and frame excellent. The bed has a lot of surface scales and a small spot of cancer toward the back of the bed shown in pictures. The tailgate needs some minor cancer fixed in corners. Ford posts record pre-tax Q3 profit of $2.6B
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Ford took in $2.6 billion in pre-tax profits in the third quarter of the year, making for a record trio of months that saw the Blue Oval's year-over-year earnings increase by $426 million. The earnings are being attributed not just to improvements in North American sales, but sales around the globe.
Revenue was up 12 percent, to $36 billion, although net income took a hit, dropping $359 million to $1.3 billion. Ford was dinged with $498 million in pre-tax charges, which are being blamed for the drop in net income.
The news has boosted Ford's hopes for full-year results, bumping it's total profits up past $8 billion, according to Automotive News. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer is still expecting a loss in Europe, although it's forecasted less than the $1.73 billion it burned in 2012. In fact, according to CFO Bob Shanks, Ford's European losses dropped by 51 percent year-over year, a huge improvement for the brand.
Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang appears at EAA Oshkosh
Sat, 26 Jul 2014Ford is back at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture air show in Oshkosh, WI, on July 31 auctioning off its seventh Mustang for charity, and this is one seriously mean looking 2015 'Stang. All of the money from the sale goes to give free introductory flights to young people to get them interested in aviation.
We recently saw this latest EAA Mustang as a sketch. However, it looks a whole lot more menacing in person. Dubbed the Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang, it takes liberal inspiration from Lockheed Martin's latest fighter jet, and the customization makes the pony car look ready for a role in Top Gun.
On the outside, the special Mustang wears titanium-color paint that's offset by a black and yellow stripe running from hood to rear. Out back things get really wild with a mix of bright yellow and black that flows diagonally all the way to the rear spoiler. The design is based on the livery of early production F-35s. If the rousing color scheme isn't enough to get you interested, the car also gets a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, lowered suspension and a set of custom 21-inch wheels with yellow brake calipers.
