Caledonia, Michigan, United States
1968 MUSTANG FASTBACK PREVIOUSLY FROM TEXAS. I PURCHASED CAR APPROXIMATELY 5 YRS AGO AND HAD IT REPAINTED BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WIMBLEDON WHITE AND ADDED BURGUNDY GT AND RACING STRIPES. ALL CHROME AND STAINLESS WAS REPLACED IF NEEDED AND THE INTERIOR OF CAR WAS PROFESSIONAL RESTORED. THE 289 RUNS STRONG AND THE 3SP TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD. ALL GLASS IS ORIGINAL AND IN GOOD SHAPE. THE BACK GLASS DOES HAVE A FEW SCRATCHES THOUGH. THE CAR HAS NEW CRAGER SS WHEELS WRAPPED WITH NEW TIRES. CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN ONLY AROUND THE BLOCK ONCE A YEAR AND TO ONE LOCAL CAR SHOW ( BEST OF SHOW ) SINCE COMPLETED 5 YRS AGO. UNDERSIDE LOOKS GOOD AS WOULD BE EXPECTED FROM A TEXAS CAR.

Ford looks to protect logo from Toronto mayor followers
Fri, 15 Nov 2013One is a member of the Detroit Three and the maker of the Mustang, Fusion, Explorer and F-150. The other is an admitted loudmouthed, drunk-driving, crack-smoking mayor in Canada. Unfortunately for one, it shares its name with the other. Yes, Ford Motor Company is going to great lengths to keep its iconic Blue Oval logo from being appropriated by supporters of besieged Toronto mayor Rob Ford.
At a United Way event earlier this week, some of Mayor Ford's fans showed up with shirts that featured the automaker's logo with the words "Ford Nation," on them. Naturally, Mayor Ford signed them. FoMoCo was quick to issue an unhappy statement:
"Ford did not grant permission for use of its logo. We view it as an unauthorized use of our trademark and have asked it to be stopped," spokesperson Jay Cooney said. There was also a statement from Ford of Canada's Twitter account after a user alerted the company:

Ford to build next F-150, outgoing model concurrently?
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is rumored to be considering concurrent production for old and new F-150 models in a bid to minimize supply chain disruptions and inventory. Automotive News is reporting that the Blue Oval will build both the current F-150 and its replacement, which we showed you testing just last month, side by side for about half a year before switching over entirely to next-generation production.
As IHS Automotive analyst Mike Jackson told AN, "In order to ramp up, you have to retool...and that means you have to take capacity offline." Building both models alongside could allow Ford to cope with the still strong demand for the current F-150, while populating dealer supplies and working out supply chain kinks for the new model before making a full-time switch.
A loss of capacity when demand is so strong, even for a short period, could spell bad news for Ford, which nets an estimated 90 percent of its global profit on pickups and large SUVs. As AN states, Ford produces the F-150 in both Kansas City, Missouri and Dearborn, Michigan, which allows it to maintain some degree of flexibility in production. The new F-150 is expected to arrive at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as a 2015 model, with a design inspired by the Atlas Concept first shown at the Detroit Auto Show last January.
