For sale is my 68 Mustang that I got December 24th 1992 prior to my entrance into the United States Marine Corps. I named her Natasha. When I got her she had a 302 w/289 heads Factory air conditioning, PS, and manual brakes. She was Cherry red with maroon interior. So I drove her for a few years like that. Natasha has been one of the Loves of my Life.

So about 5 years ago I decided to start a full restoration. Since Natasha was starting to show her age. I pulled her into the Garage and proceeded to pull every her down too the bare shell. I took her to a Classic Paint and Body shop in Charlotte NC. They worked her over and sprayed her in Bright Inferno Red. Now keep in mind I wanted to Hot Rod her up, add some Flare, but I also wanted to preserve her original appeal. I did not want her to be a beast. I looked at a lot of things other guys had done.

Drivetrain. I decided that the 93 Cobra Power Plant was the ticket.  So I bought a 302 Crate Roller Engine for a 1993 Cobra with the GT40 Cobra Intake which has been Extreme Honed. This is an original 93 Cobra intake. These are very rare and highly sought after. This Mustang has a Custom built set of Long Tube Headers that actually fit the car without scraping everything you cross over, unlike the TriY's. They fit around the C4 Bell house like a glove. The transmission is a fully rebuilt C4 automatic with a brand new 2500 Stall. Trans shifts smoothly and not rough at all. I did have a shift kit installed. The exhaust runs straight back to a set of Flowmasters for that nice Growl. I decided on the electronics to go with the more tunable version, so I used the A9P. The rear gears are Factory 273's She does such a fine job cruising I figured why Fix what's not broken. Wheels I wanted to give Her an updated looking set of wheels so I bought a set of Chrome 17x8 OEM Ford Mach 1 wheels for her. Keeps her looking Classic, but puts a great spin on her looks. I just added Brand new KYB Shocks.

Interior. I did not want a solid color and I did not care for the OEM red's of the day. I looked at different colors and cars and decided to use TMI's 1966 Mustang Red with 1968 Black on the seats. I used 1968 Black Door panels. Red Head Liner. Black Dash with Red Paint. I also used Dyno mat in the entire interior space, which really knocked out the noise. For the Stereo system. I used a Kenwood KDC-MP238. It has Blu Tooth, and the AUX input to run your Pandora or Ipod. I used the Q-Forms kick panels for some added sound in the cabin. She has Kenwood 6 1/2's in front and 5x8's in the rear. Great sound . She is wired up to have an amp in the back if you wanted to add a subwoofer. I added Lokar Pedals. The brake pedal is not pictured, but I have it new in the wrapper. I also used New Black Carpet.

I also Powder coated all the door hinges, trunk hinges, hood hinges in Black. I wanted to avoid that trashy look and keep it looking good for years which it will.

Ford Transit Skyliner Concept is a Gulfstream for the road

Sat, 12 Apr 2014

If you are afraid to fly or just want to arrive at your ultimate destination in absolute comfort, then the Ford Transit Skyliner concept might be the perfect vehicle for you. Built by Galpin Auto Sports and based on a 2015 Transit, the van is basically a private jet on wheels. It even has a touch of Transformers about it with the ability to switch between four modes by pressing a button in a smartphone app.
Based on the long wheelbase, high-roof model with 487 cubic feet of cargo space and 6 feet, 9.5 inches of interior height, the Skyliner has movable captains chairs that shift around among four modes. In theater mode, the seats turn and recline to face a 52-inch retractable movie screen with 7.2 surround sound. For business, a motorized table unfolds, and the chairs gather around it. There is a mode for tailgating where the door opens four-feet wide, and, when traveling, passengers can recline back with footrests that extend for maximum comfort.
To make the ride even plusher, there is a satellite and media server to meet your entertainment needs, and there is even a built-in bar in the back. If this Ford had a bathroom, you could live in it. Of course, you would need to hire a driver to enjoy all the amenities in the back.

2015 Roush Mustang lineup officially revealed

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Just last week, Saleen revealed initial details of its tuning program for the new Ford Mustang. And now Roush is following suit.
Available in three stages - based on the V6 (RS), EcoBoost (RS1) and V8 (RS2) models - the 2015 Roush Mustangs all feature the venerable Ford tuner's latest R7 aero kit complete with remodeled fascia, five-blade grille, gaping air dam with integrated driving lamps and splitter. Around back there's a one-piece deck spoiler and "race-inspired lower aero-valance."

Ken Block's 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR and CR Supercars Villain are retro done right

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Gymkhana king Ken Block has had a pretty simple car history in his trademark videos, starting out with Subaru Impreza rally cars before moving into Ford Focus racers for the past four installments. His next video, though, Gymkhana Seven, kind of goes back in time.
Rather than the cutting-edge rally racers of past videos, Block will pilot a heavily modified 1965 Ford Mustang, called the Hoonicorn. How heavily modified is it? Well, Block's Hooligan Racing Division, ASD Motorsports and Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s RTR, spent two years working on it, ditching the standard engine and rear-wheel-drive layout and replacing it with a 410-cubic-inch Roush Yates V8. Yes, that's a NASCAR engine, and it produces 845 horsepower.
A NASCAR-powered Mustang would be news in itself, but it's the other powertrain changes made by Block and Co. that really makes headlines. Power is channeled through a one-off Sadev transmission and all-wheel-drive system, meaning that Block has basically married a NASCAR stock car with a WRC racer. ASD also developed the customized suspension, tubular chassis and roll cage. The wide Mustang body is the work of RTR and Block's own Hoonigan Racing Division, while the 18-inch fifteen52 wheels are shod in Pirelli Trofeo R tires that use a specialized compound exclusive to Block.
