I am reluctantly listing my loved GT500 Shelby in Kona blue. I have the original window sticker. Has only 12,100
miles. (Using when the sun is shining) All additions/modifications have done nothing to affect the stock motor. I
bought this car off an older gentleman who went on to buy a Ford GT......oh to be that guy.
Car is spotless inside, has the following:
#Leather seats/steering wheel
#Navigation/DVD/Sirrus XM/Bluetooth. I also had added the LockPick (enclosed in the dash) which allows you to play
DVD's on the move for the kids and also put in navigation destinations on the move (Ford doesn't like you touching
the Nav when you are driving)
#Backup camera (this is also managed by the Lockpick) nothing to it, comes on when in reverse.
#Original Shelby car mats, excellent condition as well as all weather matts that I usually leave in to protect from
dirt (sorry I love my car)
#Car has a Viper radar detector hard wired and comes on automatically when ignition is turned on, you cant drive
30mph in this car.....Police don't like that.
The exterior is gorgeous, Kona Blue with the original standard white Shelby striping changed out with a body shop
installing black carbon fiber look stripes. I thought the white was too obnoxious and can easily be changed back
for very little cost. Rear passenger windows have the paint match old school window vents. The usual tiny marks
from the terrible NJ roads but nothing to impact the paint. Car comes with a 7 season matt black cover and storage
bag. Car has never seen rain or snow and is always stored in my garage......warm and toasty.
20" after market rims added with low performance tires really makes the car look aggressive standing still.
The chin spoiler on the front is carbon fiber and the body shop also did carbon fiber look on the plastic trim
pieces, water rails, sills, rear valence. At car shows people don't realize it isn't carbon fiber.
The sound of the car is incredible.

2015 Ford Mustang to offer solid-rear axle, sort of
Tue, 17 Dec 2013One of the biggest knocks against the last Ford Mustang was its solid-rear axle. Not one to actively court criticism, Ford dutifully swapped out the old-fashioned rear end for something a bit more modern in the redesigned 2015 Mustang, adding an independent rear suspension across the board.
While an IRS Mustang is great news for those that value handling and ride comfort, there's one big group that it's bad news for - drag racers. See, a solid-rear axle is a big deal for drag racers, because not only is it more durable and cheaper, but it's better for the hard launches that can make or break a race.
To satiate this vocal demographic, Ford will sell a body-in-white version of the Stang, complete with a nine-inch rear axle, that will debut at the 2014 Performance Racing Industry show. The news came from gas2.org, which cited an unnamed employee of Ford Racing at this year's PRI show.
Ford talking unibody Ranger replacement
Mon, 18 Feb 2013Now here's some welcome news. Car and Driver reports Ford is seriously mulling a replacement for the recently deceased Ranger, but the successor to the compact pickup's throne may not look anything like what we've seen from the nameplate in the past.
While speaking at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Doug Scott, marketing manager for Ford Trucks, said there's still a market for a smaller pickup, but that buyers expect to see a larger differentiation between the smaller utility vehicles and their full size counterparts in price, capability and fuel economy.
According to Scott, that means a vehicle with a payload capacity of around 1,000 pounds paired with a towing capacity of 3,000 pounds and "a dramatic reduction in fuel consumption." But the biggest piece of that recipe is the price tag, and Scott says to keep the MSRP far enough away from the already cheap F-150, the answer could come in the form of a unibody design. Scott says target customers in this market don't care whether the truck has a traditional frame or not, so long as it's tough enough to do the job and has the capability they need.
Watch Piquet and Mansell bend some sheetmetal in Ford Fusion GP
Tue, 12 Feb 2013As we told you about before, there were four episodes planned for the Ford Fusion GP campaign in Brazil, and the whole series has now run its course. The Ford ads pit Brazilian Formula One driver Nelson Piquet against English F1 pilot Nigel Mansell driving the new Fusion, the two coming together again after their partnership at the Williams F1 team ended in a miserable state more than 20 years ago.
They're lined up for you below, in reverse chronological order. You should watch number three first, though, as it adds a bit more spice to the NASCAR action in the fourth.
