Relisting due to someone thinking ebay is a fun place to bid on things you cant afford.  He backed out when he found out that shipping is expensive.  Please don't be a fool too.

Up for auction is my 1988 Mustang GT Convertible 5 Speed 5.0 v8 car.

This is a PROJECT VEHICLE.  I just had it inspected and the engine started knocking last week.  Will NEED WORK.

Clutch was also worn but drivable.  I drove it over 1500 miles in the last 2 months leading upto the engine knocking.

5.0 V8, still has the originial emmisions equipment under the hood, rare to find one that hasnt been hacked all apart nowadays.

Showing 40k miles, I believe it to be 140k miles. **Please note the "title issue found" seen above the description is because of this.  These cars only have 5 digit odometers, so when a title gets transffered it could have been recorded as 40k or 140k earlier in its life.  Since its so old now they are exempt, but they still record the mileage.  I believe the car to have 140k miles on it based on my experience of how it drives, how original alot of the parts look and experience with mustangs and the other 70+ cars ive owned.**

The top will need to be redone, as well as the top motor is bad.  The top can be put up and down by hand but it does have a few holes and no rear window. I keep it in the garage so the top didnt matter to me.

The A/C didnt work, but again, i only drove it on nice days with the top down anyways.

The rear window motors are missing, the windows can be put up and down by hand.  The front windows work.

Has brand new headlight set installed 2 months ago.

Car has original black paint and red interior, a great color combination to restore and is in pretty good shape for a 25 year old vehicle but is not perfect.

Will start and move onto trailer, but should not be driven far due to engine knock.

Clear Texas Title in my name and currently registered and inspected.

Car must be paid for within 7 days and picked up within 14.

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.

Hennessey Ford GT sets 267.6-MPH record at Texas Mile [w/videos]

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

The record-setting Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT we showed you at this time last year headed back to the Texas Mile and managed to bring home yet another record. As you may recollect, last year saw Mark Heidraker's machine sprint to a record 257.7 mph thanks to propulsion from its twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8. The big mill sucks down race gas, and this year the creation pulled off a 267.6-mph run over the weekend. That feat set a new record for the event. Something tells us neither Heidraker nor Hennessey are done squeezing more thrust from this machine.
This particular Ford GT has already gone through a number of permutations. Hennessey started by tweaking the factory supercharger set up before abandoning the blower in favor of two turbos. Since then, the crew has poked and prodded it to coerce as much grunt as possible out of the car. We expect Hennessey will probably come out with a video of the record-setting run shortly, but in the meantime, you can see a couple of videos of the car's runs in Texas below (one of which actually captures the record run). Enjoy.

Americans will get a four-cylinder Ford Mustang after all? [w/poll]

Sat, 09 Mar 2013

Ask and you shall receive. Remember that previous report suggesting that the 2015 Ford Mustang getting a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and that it would be sold in Europe only and not the United States? Well, according to Road & Track, the rumor is only partially true - The Mustang will get the engine, but it is indeed coming to America.
Additionally, according to RT, the 3.7-liter V6 will continue to serve as the base engine, and since it offers up a stout 305 horsepower in its current form, it's likely that the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost will produce a bit more than that. At the top of the range, the Mustang GT will continue to soldier on with a V8 engine, which should continue to send over 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Finally, while we agree 100 percent with RT's heartfelt request for a paddle-shift automatic, we certainly expect that the EcoBoost 'Stang will be offered with a manual transmission as standard equipment. This is a Mustang, after all...
