Today up for bids is a extremely rust free 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe.  This car was originally from the California/Washington state area.  It must have did some drag racing back in the day because there are slapper bars and a cutout in the transmission tunnel for an aftermarket shifter. The car originally was a 289 2V stick.  I cannot verify if it was a 4 speed or 3 speed because the door tag is missing.  As you can see in the pictures the car is very solid.  All frame rails, floor pans, aprons and even the trunk dropoffs are very solid with no rot.  All the extra pieces shown in the photos are included with the sale of the car.  This would make a great starting point for your Mustang Restomod project.  There is no title included with the sale of the car.  It has not been junked but you will need to contact a title service.  The car is located in Wonewoc, WI, which is about 50 miles north of Madison.  I also have 2 other 1965 Mustangs (1 4speed Coupe, 1 Fastback) on ebay currently for sale.  Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!

Justin Bell makes a horrible policeman

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If you're wondering what type of person makes a good police officer, it seems a racecar driver doesn't. Let us rephrase that: Justin Bell, a racecar driver and the host of Motor Trend's World's Fastest Car Show, recently got behind the wheel of a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang police car with Sergeant Daniel Shrubb, co-founder of DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti), and proved that his high-performance-driving skillset is a bit too aggressive for police duty.
While it's easy to get carried away in a Mustang GT, a patrol car driver must maintain some sort of restraint while pursuing a criminal, so as not to come off as a reckless driver to the public. We'll admit, some pursuit techniques are counter-intuitive to performance driving (stay off the gas in a lane-change exercise?), but Bell's judicious use of the handbrake can't be normal procedure.
Watch "The One With The Ford Mustang 5.0 Police Car" (yes, we caught the Friends reference too) below to see some shenanigans in one of Michigan's finest patrol cars.

Ford begins testing right-hand-drive Mustang

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

Ford has officially kicked off testing of the right-hand-drive variant of its sixth-generation, 2015 Mustang, according to a statement issued by the company, which came with the above photo.
According to Ford, this will mark the first time a right-hand-drive 'Stang has traveled down the company's assembly line alongside its LHD brethren. It is far from the first of the legendary pony cars to feature its wheel on the wrong side, though, as converters in RHD markets across the globe have been making swaps for years.
Ford is planning on using the white, droptop Mustang for RHD development ahead of the car's arrival in the UK, Australia and South Africa, among other markets. Scroll down for the official press blast.
