You are looking at a 1929 model A sedan. I would call it a hotrod. But not a show car. Nor a rat rod. Has 3 inch chop. The body work is not razor sharp, I didnt do a lot of body work on it before I painted it. As I said it is nicer than a ratrod and not a show car. A great driver. As shown in one of the pictures there is starting to be some pinhole rust starting in lower cowl, looks to be this way one both sides.I didnt build this car from scatch I just painted over what the guy I got from did. Original boxed frame.Vega box. Speedway front axle kit. 10 bolt chevy, new posi and 4.11 gears.Turbo 350 trans, brand spankin new rebuilt.3500 stall. 400 chevy, balanced, forged.light weight parts. bored, the works.World Sportsman heads.roller cam and rockers. She runs goood. Think about 450 horse. A little over 7 grand in motor and trans.I have about 1500 miles in motor and tires.New SLT Aluminum wheels. The ol'girl needs a new home. Its time to start on another project.. I would drive it anywhere. Just dont have the time to drive it as much as I should.. Got any questions?? Call me at 402 589 1412, I am in north central Nebraska. I would think about trades. Plymouth- Dodge muscle cars. Or a custom of some sorts. I already have a Harley so no thanks. I am also offering free shipping in the continental united states ,if you push the Buy It Now. I have never hooked up speedo, need cable, also the gas guage doesnt work right,I beleive it has the wrong sender for the stewart warner gas guage. It also has a cd player am/fm but no antenna.

Ford recalling 850,000 cars and SUVs for airbag issues

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

Ford has announced a major recall of 850,000 vehicles from model years 2013 and 2014 due to a problem with the "restraints control module."
According to Ford, a short circuit could develop in the module, causing the airbag warning light to illuminate. In more severe cases, dependent on where the short develops, the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners may not work in the event of an accident. The problems can be more wide-ranging than that, too, as systems that rely on information from the control module, such as the stability control can be affected.
With 850,000 vehicles affected, it's no surprise that some of Ford's volume leaders are covered. That includes the Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans, as well as the incredibly recall-prone Escape and the C-Max MPV.

Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Scroll down below for all the details from Consumer Reports, if you're so inclined.

Next Ford Mustang to drop 400 pounds

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

The Ford Mustang is already the lightest of the current crop of muscle cars, at around 3,600 pounds for a GT coupe with the six-speed manual transmission. That's almost 260 pounds less than a Chevrolet Camaro SS and about 450 pounds less than a Dodge Challenger R/T, which means the Mustang has a pretty big advantage when it comes to handling, braking, accelerating and economy. More good news: The next Mustang will be even lighter.
According to a report from Edmunds, the sixth-generation Mustang, which is set to debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, will shed an additional 400 pounds of body fat. That 11-percent weight reduction will be thanks to lightweight materials, with a particular focus on using stronger, but less material in construction. Aluminum will feature heavily, but Edmunds' inside source warns that there is "nothing terribly exotic" coming to the original pony car.
The other big news is that the new Mustang will be smaller overall. It's going to be 15-inches shorter than the 188.5-inch Mustang on sale today, while it'll also be 6.5 inches narrower. Shorter overhangs, both in the front and rear, are also good signs for those that want an agile Mustang.
