This is a great car that gets looks and the occasional trophy.  It looks FANTASTIC for her 50th birthday!
It has a great look with a great stance and the 18" and 20" Coy's make it look fantastic!  The stock 352 FE motor with automatic transmission is great for cruising.
The quality of the Galaxie is good.

Things that you need to know.
Has an A/C system but has not worked since I have owned the car.
The transmission lines should be replaced between the trans and radiator.  Will leave some on the floor between drives.
To the best of my knowledge the motor and trans are original so freshening would make them perfect.
Have some additional parts that will go with the car - Ball joints, couple of tie rod ends, wheel skirts for the rear,
The paint has a couple of scuffs but still looks good and shines very well.  It has had a repaint prior to my owning the vehicle. I tried to take pics of the spots and scuffs.  The pics show the biggest issues with the paint.

The cool stuff -
Wheels, 18 and 20 inch Coy's. Rear tires are 275/40/R20
Disc brake front end with power booster.
Aluminum Radiator with electric fan, runs cool all day and in cruise traffic.
New water pump when radiator replaced
Alternator - Yes the Generator is gone and it has worked very well since installed over a year ago.
New power steering pump
Power Door Locks installed
New carpet with heat shield installed
New Headliner

It's a fun car that always draws attention every place that it goes.  Keep in mind your not looking at a $50,000 street rod, but not a $12,000 project either.

I will be happy to answer your questions to the best of my ability.

Buyer is responsible for shipping and as you can guess with a 50 year old vehicle.... it has no warranty.

Ford recalling 205k Edge and Lincoln MKX units for possible corrosion

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

After the horrible weather last winter, it's hard to look forward for the season to return this year. For those readers in much of the country, the snow is going to be flying soon, and with it comes salt on the roads. That means Ford's regional recall for the 2007-2008 Edge and Lincoln MKX arrives at the perfect time because they are at risk for corrosion.
The campaign covers 204,448 examples of the models in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia and some provinces of Canada. In total there are 186,024 vehicles in need of repair in the US and 18,424 in Canada.
According to Ford, it's possible for the area, "under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted" to corrode. If this happens, there might be a gas smell in the vehicle or even a fuel leak could develop. In fact, the automaker reports that one fire could be related to the problem but no injuries or accidents are reported.

Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.

Ford's official Euro aftermarket partner Mountune coming to US

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

Now that we're getting a steady stream of Ford's European offerings, the aftermarket world is finally starting to catch up as well. UK-based aftermarket tuning company, Mountune has just announced that it will be setting up shop in California to provide high-performance and racing parts for Ford vehicles including the Focus ST and Fiesta ST.
Mountune lays claim to being Ford's "official European tuning partner," and US buyers will soon have access to these parts through Ford dealerships and with a Ford Racing warranty. Speaking of Ford Racing, Mountune also says that it will be working with Ford's in-house team to develop future components for both street and track. There are no specifics as of yet for which products will be offered here, but the company plans to launch a US-specific website later this month with more information.
