This is a fantastic running and driving project car. A true 2 Dr Post Sedan with no previous body work, 100% original and uncut. Drivetrain is a 352FE big block and Cruis-O-Matic Auto trans. The body code is 62A and the trim code is 27. The trunk, wheel wells and frame undercarriage are all completely straight and solid. The bumpers are straight and there are no hits anywhere on the body. Only rust is around some trim holes and under some window frame trim in very small and spots. The interior is a very easy restoration and I have some extra parts like a couple steering wheel horn rings that go with it.
All trim is in good condition and is complete including the grill which is in the back seat for safe keeping. The car has great patina and would look great with just scuff and clear if you want to go rat style.
I also have some extra parts like the original air cleaner, original FE 352 4 barrel intake manifold so you can upgrade to more HP and keep it clean and original looking. I'd love to keep it and finish my original plans for the car but something has to go so I'm checking the market on my beloved Galaxie. I don't know exactly what it's worth but I'm looking for offers from serious buyers so don't be afraid to send them. Thanks for looking!

Project Ugly Horse: Part VII
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.
NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.
Ford cranks up '32 Ford body production
Tue, 14 Jan 2014If you're going to build your own hot rod, you'll want to start with a '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Favored by American servicemen returning from World War II, the '32 Ford remains the very icon of the hot rod to this day. The trouble is there were only so many of them made in the first place, and finding one today can be a challenge. That's where reproduction models come in.
The aftermarket is replete with companies that will sell you a fiberglass body in the form of a '32 Ford coupe, but quality can be hit or miss. So to help meet demand among hot rod builders and enthusiasts, Ford has teamed up with United Pacific Industries to offer officially licensed body shells.
Announced at the SEMA show in November, the '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe body is made from stamped steel according to original specifications from original machinery where possible or reproduced machinery built to the same original specifications where necessary. The bodies are ready to accept vintage powertrains or crate motors from the Ford Racing catalog, and join the 9,000 other parts offered in the Ford Component Sales catalog - including similar reproduction bodies available for the 1965-70 Mustang and 1940 Ford Coupe. From there, the proverbial sky's the limit.
