This is a 1983 Ford 2WD F250 Extended cab pickup in original as built condition. The 460 CID engine runs strong and functions well as does the auto transmission. Engine does not smoke. Glass is solid all the way around no cracks. Tires are in great shape as is the spare, tires have less than 1000 miles  on them.  I drive the truck at 75 mph on the freeway  with no problems, the front end is tight and tracks straight with no pulling to the left or right. The body is in fairly decent shape, a few dings and a little rust here and there. The flooring and the underside are solid no significant rust .  Paint is fair, the paint on the hood is oxidized. New brakes all around. The interior is clean and  presentable. Has current registration and inspection. The a/c does not work but all parts are there also the heater core started to leak so it is bypassed at this time and the truck could use a set of shocks. All in all it is in decent original  shape for a 30 year old vehicle. I have been told by the previous owner that the 49000 miles are original, the truck spent the first several years of it's life as a farm truck. This is a 30 year old vehicle in original mechanical condition, I drive it around town and have had no problems but I would think twice about taking a long trip in it just because of it's age so bid accordingly. There is no warranty express or implied. Vehicle is sold as is. The truck shows 5 owners including myself but before me the ownership stayed in one family.

Ford Mustang pinball machine has supple wrist, plays by sense of smell [w/video]

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

Ford didn't have anything major to show off at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, so it seems it instead opted to have some fun - it brought a row of pinball machines to the show. Yes, pinball machines.
We originally told you about the Stern Pinball Ford Mustang machine a few days ago, and as day two of the Chicago show is a bit of a slow one, we opted to head to the show floor and get some snaps of the bank of new machines. Not surprisingly, there's plenty for the Mustang fan in each of these machines, ranging frond different models, to logos to a full model.
Take a look below for our full gallery of live shots, available up top. Then head below for our original gallery of stock images, along with a video and press release on the new machines.

Ford Fiesta ST customs get wild at SEMA

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The massive 57-car SEMA showcase by Ford ranges from obvious aftermarket-friendly models like the Mustang, to the not so obvious ones, like the Transit Connect and cute-as-an-explosive-button Fiesta ST. Ford plucked several Fiesta STs for SEMA duty, and we were on the show floor today to get a closer look at some of them.
First up is the striking COBB Tuning and Tanner Foust Racing Fiesta ST (above) finished in a black-and-gray digital camouflage, much like that used in the military, and is meant to raise awareness for the Pat Tillman Foundation. COBB also fitted a three-inch exhaust and a cold-air intake. A new shift knob, carbon-fiber hood and a Kicker stereo round out the mix of upgrades.
MRT got its hands on a Fiesta ST and created a car inspired by Forza Motorsport 5 (below, left). Featuring a two-tone paint job and more performance upgrades than you can shake a stick at, this Fiesta ST is one of the cooler compacts at Ford's stand. A high-performance exhaust system, along with a complimentary COBB induction system, allows the ST to breathe better, while an H&R coil over suspension and Steeda brakes help it stop and turn better than stock.

eBay Find of the Day: Mk1 Ford GT40 with interesting history

Sat, 03 May 2014

You might expect a rare Ford GT40 to cross the block at some sort of prestigious auto auction from RM or Gooding, not show up on eBay for over $2 million. However, that's exactly what we have here. The seller claims the car is a late-build Mk1 GT40 from 1969, and it's currently owned by the director of the Hublot watch company in Switzerland.
According to the listing, GT40 #P1108 started life as Mk1 car that was built from factory spares in 1969 and was first sold in 1971. However, the auction is somewhat confusing. According to an image in its gallery, the vehicle was actually built from one of the seven spare Mk3 tubs when production of the iconic racers ended.
This GT40 was never built as a racecar - it lived on the streets its whole life. After assembly finished, it was sent to Germany and was eventually registered for the road. The first owner kept the car until 2005 and sold it with 7,300 miles on the odometer. The current owner bought it in 2012.
