This is an auction for 2 vehicles.  The first one is a 1983 FORD F250  and the second is a 1985 FORD F350.  Both trucks have a manual 4 speed transmission and are 4x4's with the dana 50 front end. Both are regular cab long boxes. The clutches on both trucks feel great.  I have the titles on both trucks and they are clean. Both the trucks have typical Ford rust.

The 1983 F250 has new:     glow plugs, filters, slave cylinder, drivers rear brake wheel cylinder and rear axle bearing nut, and two new rear tires( less than a 1000 miles on them).

Has less than 300 miles on oil change. Runs and drives good. Goes down highway straight. Even has the original water separator. Previously titled in AK.  Has a crack in lower left of windshield and a bar welded to frame on each side for a slide in camper. Looks like it has the wiring for a camper. Smokes only when started up and clears up.

The 1985 F350 was bought for replacement parts if needed.  The previous owner ran veggie oil and gummed up the fuel injector.  There is a different fuel injector on it now.  I took the fuel tank down to clean it. Ran a fuel jug to motor and runs fine.  Drove it around the block a couple of times and parked it up north about a year and a half ago. I never put the tank back up.  The tires have good tread and I know three tires for sure hold air but they have weather checking on the sidewalls. The truck has aluminum rims. The leaf springs are cracked in a couple of spots and if I remember right a piece of spring is missing in one spot. The truck smokes on start up  and did not smoke when driving it around the block.

Both trucks have not been driven much at all. I took the 1983 F250 to work for a week when my car was in the shop. The idea was to make a heavy duty truck with a parts truck being handy, just incase .  The 1983 F250 is registered in my name and I never registered the 1985 F350 because that was going to be my parts truck. A guy could take the F350 and fix the springs, throw rubber on it if wanted, put the tank up and would have a running 1 ton. Again , I only had it running for a little while, but when I got it running, it ran and shifted good. Just trying to being honest.

Any questions, please email me.  I will answer them to the best of my ability.

I reserve the right to end this auction early as I have these trucks for sale locally.  Buyer is responsible for shipping.  I will help out as much as I can.

Ford 1.0L EcoBoost 3-Cylinder: Autoblog Technology of the Year award finalist

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

As the old saying goes, "There's no replacement for displacement." But these days, many automakers are launching powerful, downsized engines that offer similar or better power output than their predecessors, all while offering improvements in fuel economy and emissions. These days, we're seeing automakers replacing eight-cylinder engines with turbocharged sixes, and the naturally aspirated six-cylinder motors are being phased out in favor of potent turbo fours. But Ford has gone even smaller, offering a three-cylinder, turbocharged engine with one single liter of displacement.
Sure, three-cylinder engines aren't anything new - they've been offered around the globe for ages. But Ford's EcoBoost 1.0L powerplant is perhaps the best application the Autoblog team has tested. Gone are the triple-cylinder complaints of yore - this engine doesn't sound anemic or buzzy, and there's healthy power output on tap. In fact, compared to the 1.6-liter inline-four that Ford also offers in the Fiesta, the 1.0-liter is more powerful, while boasting an impressive 45 miles per gallon on the highway.
This engine has already received numerous accolades, including winning the International Engine of the Year award in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The 1.0L EcoBoost will be available in the refreshed 2015 Ford Focus here in the US.

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost

Fri, 16 May 2014

Earlier this week, Ford invited us to Charlotte, NC, to ride in an all-new 2015 Mustang fitted with its turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. It's the first forced-induction, four-cylinder ponycar for the Blue Oval since the sun set on the 1986 Mustang SVO. We jumped at the opportunity, as only a handful of people have ever been in the passenger seat of this new car, and most automotive media won't get as close as we did until this fall.
As we revealed in our Deep Dive, Ford will slot this new turbocharged four as premium powerplant between its naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 and the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8. At last mention, the automaker said the direct-injected, all-aluminum engine will develop 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, returning the best fuel economy of the three powerplants in the process. History buffs will note that those figures are appreciably stouter than the 200 horses and 240 lb-ft that the '86 SVO realized out of the same displacement, and the latter's figures were hugely impressive at the time. On paper, the new EcoBoost four looks to be a good fit for most owners who want to balance performance with efficiency - we were eager to see how it felt from the passenger seat.

Project Ugly Horse: Part V

The Slippery Slope
I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.
