Just Toys Classic Cars is Extremely proud to present one of the coolest trucks that you are ever going to see in your lifetime.

Before you is a 1953 Ford F100 4 Door 4x4 Custom Truck.  Now, we know what you are saying, Ford never made a 4 door truck in 1953.  You would be correct in your statement.  The owner that came up with this idea was struggling to come up with a way to keep his two door truck at the time that he had purchased from his little league baseball coach.  He had fond memories of riding in the back of it to baseball practice when he was a kid.  So when the opportunity came about, he purchased it from his old coach for $50.  That's right folks $50.

Now that you have the back story, let's get into the details.  This Blue Angle of a 1953 Ford F100 rides on a 1983 Ford F150 Big Block Chassis.  This truck originally had a 400 in it, but later came the current mill under the hood.  Now resides a 460 with Cobra Jet heads and 11:1 Compression.  All of this is matted to a C6 transmission with a shift kit and a 2500 Stall Converter for good towing.  The transfer case as well as the front and rear differential were left stock.

Speaking of stock, the owner wanted to keep as many things original as he could.  He didn't want to make this a resto mod truck.  He wanted to make it as if Ford built it, this is what they would do.  The process took 3 cabs and 6 doors to make what you see here.  The body and bed were widened to fit on the frame but the hood and the grill are still stock size.  In order to start this truck you still turn the key and press the starter button and listen to that 460 come to life.  If you need to pull the E-Brake you do it the old fashioned way by the original handle from 1953.

This truck has dual tanks with hidden openers and the tank switch is on the drivers side floor just like the original.  A third brake light was installed for safety as well.  The fenders were widened in order to fit the larger tires, but these are not cheap fiberglass fenders.  Again, this truck was built as if Ford did it in 1953.  The amount of man hours that went into this truck is immeasurable.  The bed was made wider and a tailgate was made for this truck as well.  As you will see in the pics there is a class three hitch so you can tow with this truck as well.

The seats are out of a 2003 F150, the moonroof is out of an 83 Eldorado, and there is just custom stuff everywhere.  This truck speaks for itself.  You just have to see it for yourself to believe it.  We could go on and on with everything that is done to make this 1953 Ford F100 truck the coolest thing on the planet that you could drive anywhere you want any day of the week.  Give us a call today and let's talk about you taking this truck home.

We have financing available for those that would like to take advantage of the option.  We look forward to speaking with you soon and making you the newest member of the Just Toys Classic Cars Family.

Ford spills SEMA all over its Expeditions

Sat, 01 Nov 2014

If you're going to this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, it's going to be tough to miss the Ford booth, simply for its size. The Blue Oval is bringing over a dozen customized examples of the 2015 Mustang and a quintet of modded Transits. The latest announced addition is a trio of upgraded 2015 Expeditions showing different takes on the recently refreshed SUV.
Any vehicle tuned by Dub Magazine needs to ride on massive wheels, and the Expedition (pictured above) that it has for SEMA is no exception. The SUV has 26-inch Dropstars wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires, and, making them look even larger, the suspension is also lowered. The rest of the custom has some mild upgrades like mesh grilles in front, tinted windows, an integrated radar detector and new upholstery inside.
Tijn wants to boost the performance of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 for its take on the Expedition. The company claims to add 40 horsepower to bring total output to a claimed 405 by upgrading the engine with a charge cooler from Vortech Engineering, a custom side exhaust and a custom tune. To match the extra grunt, the SUV also gets bigger brakes, an Air Lift suspension and 24-inch, copper-colored wheels with custom fender flares.

Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."

Ford talking unibody Ranger replacement

Mon, 18 Feb 2013

Now here's some welcome news. Car and Driver reports Ford is seriously mulling a replacement for the recently deceased Ranger, but the successor to the compact pickup's throne may not look anything like what we've seen from the nameplate in the past.
While speaking at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Doug Scott, marketing manager for Ford Trucks, said there's still a market for a smaller pickup, but that buyers expect to see a larger differentiation between the smaller utility vehicles and their full size counterparts in price, capability and fuel economy.
According to Scott, that means a vehicle with a payload capacity of around 1,000 pounds paired with a towing capacity of 3,000 pounds and "a dramatic reduction in fuel consumption." But the biggest piece of that recipe is the price tag, and Scott says to keep the MSRP far enough away from the already cheap F-150, the answer could come in the form of a unibody design. Scott says target customers in this market don't care whether the truck has a traditional frame or not, so long as it's tough enough to do the job and has the capability they need.
