Selling my '99 Crown Vic P71 Street Appearance Package. All the interceptor goodies wrapped in a civilian-looking chromed out car. 128,000 miles. 4.6 SOHC V8, automatic. Well maintained, second owner. Originally Prince William County, VA. traffic control unit #1742. It was used as a school crossing guard unit and was never marked or had a light bar. There are two antenna holes in the deck lid. Paint is pretty nice for being original, but there are the normal dings and scuffs. I have added many upgrades to this car as I planned on keeping it for the rest of my life, but I have too many cars and need to gain some space.

Upgrades:

-GMS upper intake plenum with 1/2" spacer

-Steeda underdrive pulleys

-Accell coils

-Autolite Iridium spark plugs

-K&N 57 series cold air intake system

-U-Haul transmission pan (special order OEM part with drain plug)

-2013/2014 Shelby/Boss 302 rear differential cover with cooling fins and drain plug

-BBK 70mm Throttle body

-Aeroforce Interceptor scan gauge mounted on steering column

-Ford Racing 3.55 Traction Lok Differential

-SCT handheld programmer with custom 91 Octane tune by Blue Oval Chips in Indiana.

-Motorcraft ceramic brake pads

-Kenwood CD player with HD radio and Aux input

-Center console

-plus many more things I probably forgot about

Car is estimated at 290hp/370lb ft...again, an estimate...it has never been on the dyno.

I have done all work on this car myself and have recently replaced front sway bar links, say bar bushings, exhaust hangers, replaced all fluids with synthetic, etc. Before I got the car, many things had just been replaced as well including: Intake manifold, alternator, battery, 5 new tires (spare is still in trunk, never been on the ground), radiator hoses, etc.

Sale of car will include boxes of spare parts and some brand new stuff as well. Spare driver's side fender, lights, 2 extra wheels with snow tires, extra stainless center caps, 1 extra full size wheel cover, and much more. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Ford GT to be revived, Le Mans battle upcoming

Sun, 05 Oct 2014

Ford dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1966 to 1969, scoring four consecutive wins. Wouldn't it be great if the Blue Oval could go back to France for the 50th anniversary of that performance and show it can still compete in international endurance racing? Actually, the latest rumors indicate that could be exactly the case, and the car taking that checkered flag could be another revival of the Ford GT.
As the rumblings go, Ford wants to use a new supercar to take another crack at Le Mans, after considering some other possible alternatives. Substantiating these musings are reports that a Blue Oval rep was reportedly on hand for a recent meeting about 2016 GTE-Class rules, according to Road and Track. That would put the new GT in the same racing class as the Corvette, Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche 911 and others.
It's not all about racing, though. If you win on Sunday, you want something to be able to sell on Monday. The revived GT is reportedly still a mid-engine supercar, but the exact engine is unclear. It's possible that it could even be shown or announced at the Detroit auto show in January, according to Motor Trend.

Ford bringing C-Max Solar Energi Concept to CES

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Solar energy might not be enough to power a usable electric vehicle on its own, but that doesn't mean it can't lend a helping hand. And that's what Ford has in store for the Consumer Electronics Show opening next week in Las Vegas.
Ford has essentially taken its C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid and fitted it with the latest in solar panel technology developed by SunPower, acting like a magnifying glass to capture as much of the sun's energy as possible. So you get the benefit of an electric vehicle, with the range assurance of a hybrid, without needing to draw from the grid.
Ford estimates that a day of charging in the sunshine will give the C-Max Solar Energi concept the same full charge as the production PHEV, with a total range of 620 miles - 21 of which can be run on electric power alone. Otherwise the vehicle - which remains a concept for the time being - is identical to the existing C-Max Energi. The top-selling model in Ford's growing hybrid and electric vehicle portfolio helps put Ford just behind Toyota among the top seller of hybrids in America. Creations n' Chrome Top Notch Mustang is a one-of-a-kind fox

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Is there a cooler car from the 1980s and early 90s to mod than a Fox-body Ford Mustang? No, there isn't. If you disagree with us, we suggest you have a look at this 1990 Mustang Coupe, which just might change your mind. Although considering just how extensively modified this car - the Top Notch Mustang from Creations n' Chrome - is, we wonder just how much Ford is left in this old pony.
It rides on a custom race tube chassis that weighs a scant 700 pounds, while carbon-fiber bits and bobs help lower the overall curb weight to a mere 2,400 pounds. When paired with supercharged, 5.0-liter, Aluminator V8 from Ford Racing, the results are, doubtlessly, exciting. 855 horsepower at the rear wheels and 667 pound-feet of torque are available from that force-fed V8 should be just plenty for this car's intended purpose of running in standing-mile competitions.
The Top Notch Mustang is more extreme than just weight savings and a big engine, though. That 5.0-liter is essentially in what's known as a front-mid layout - where the engine is actually behind the front axle. In this case, the 5.0-liter V8 is 17 inches further back than a factory Fox-body, for better weight distribution. As a result, the cabin has been completely overhauled. An SLA front suspension, wheels from HRE, Wilwood brakes and Sparco interior items round out the extensive list of mods.
