I am selling my pride and joy 1989 Ferrari 348 TS. Rosa Red with Tan Interior, with the desirable matching Rosa Red Targa Top. My car is in exceptional condition, inside and out. Serviced regularly by Boardwalk Ferrari in Dallas, Texas - most recent annual service was February 2017. Boardwalk Ferrari always comments that my car is the best 348 example that they have seen. Many people comment that my car looks brand new, and they are shocked to learn that it is an 1989 model. A real "head-turner" anywhere that it goes.
No "sticky keys" - this inherent 348 issue was corrected on my car in 2015 by Boardwalk Ferrari.
No slow electric windows - this inherent 348 issue was corrected on my car earlier this month by Boardwalk Ferrari.
New tires installed by Boardwalk Ferrari in February 2017 with less than 300 miles on them now.
Always kept in a climate and UV light controlled garage.
The major engine out timing belt service was performed in October 2011 at approximately 21,500 miles (just over 2,000 miles ago), and the water pump was replaced at the same time. The clutch performs perfectly.
AC is cold, brakes are new, paint is immaculate and the interior is perfect in every way.
Regularly passes the annual Texas state inspection without issues.
My car has a gorgeous custom stainless steel heat shield underneath the engine lid that says "Ferrari Racing" with the Ferrari horse emblem. One-of-a-kind. See engine photo.
My car has the recommended very low mileage for its age. I drive my car only once every 2 weeks (weather permitting), which is the recommended minimal driving time period. My car is a Sunday driver for me - never raced; but very fast. Runs and drives great with no issues whatsoever. It's a very clean car.
I have all receipts and documents since I bought my car in 2013, and I have all of the key receipts, photos, and documents from the prior owners. I have the original leather tool kit, owner's manual and leather folder for my car as well.
The only problem that I see with my car is that there is a very minor crack on the front spoiler near the passenger front tire (which is not noticeable unless you are actually carefully looking for it).

Daytona decision reversed, Level 5 Motorsports reinstated as class winners [w/video]

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

After its first ever race at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, we can already tell that there should be plenty of excitement in the newly formed United SportsCar Racing series. Of the four competing classes, three of the winners came down to close last-lap performances, but perhaps none were as close - or controversial - as the GT Daytona (GTD) winner. Spoiler alert.
Midway through the infield portion of the Daytona International Speedway, the Level 5 Motorsports No. 555 Ferrari 458 Italia was trying to hold onto its first-place position over the Flying Lizard Motorsports No. 45 Audi R8. The R8 took an aggressive line trying to pass the Ferrari, and it ended up running out of track and driving off the course momentarily. International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) officials originally thought there was avoidable contact on the Ferrari's part and penalized the team accordingly, which meant Flying Lizard was the class winner. After watching the video replay, though, it was clear that there was no contact between the two cars. Officials overturned the ruling, rightfully giving the Level 5 Motorsports team the Rolex win.
A brief statement from IMSA is posted below regarding the matter, and we've also included a full video recap of the race from FOX Sports where you can see this GTD incident starting at the 2:30 mark.

Ferrari LaFerrari is so nice, we say it twice [w/poll]

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

Forget about the F70, the F150 and the F150th Italia - this is the Ferrari LaFerrari. Earlier this morning we got our first official look at the successor to the Enzo throne, but now we bring you live shots of the LaFerrari straight from the Geneva Motor Show floor.
There is nothing about this car that isn't impressive - from its 949-horsepower hybrid powertrain returning breakneck acceleration to the aggressively curvaceous body creating a new evolution of design for the storied automaker. The best part of the LaFerrari's design is that there is no single focal point, but one of the more interesting elements of the car is its canopy-like cover protecting the occupants. Every detail of the car has been perfectly sculpted into the carbon fiber body creating an appearance that is probably only outdone by the car's overall performance, which Ferrari promises will include a top speed more than 217 miles per hour and a 0-62 mph time of under three seconds. Ferrari says the LaFerrari will be its fastest street car ever.
While it's hard to make criticisms about of the LaFerrari, there will undoubtedly be many regarding the car's name, but with a design and performance numbers like this, we're sure this car could've been called the Ferrari LaBradoodle and all 499 examples of the hybrid supercar would've been snatched up just the same. After checking out the details posted in a press release below, let us know if you think the Ferrari LaFerrari is a worthy successor to past Maranello supercars like the F40, F50 and Enzo.

Ferrari dominant at high-priced RM Auctions' Monterey event

Sun, 17 Aug 2014

Of the 21 multi-million-dollar lots sold over RM Auctions' two-day Monterey event, the top six were Ferraris while the top four were members of the vaunted 275 family. In total, 13 of the 21 seven- and eight-figure entries bore the yellow shield and prancing horse of the Scuderia.
Two cars in particular wowed bidders at the Monterey event - the exceptionally rare Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale and a 275 GTB/4 that was originally owned by Hollywood legend Steve McQueen.
The GTB/C Speciale was the first of a three-car run. Ferrari originally planned on campaigning the new range as a GT complement to its prototype entries at Le Mans, although squabbles with the FIA limited its racing career. Still, the extremely rare nature of this car means another example probably won't be coming up for auction for several years. Considering that, the GTB/C's selling price of $26.4 million does make a bit of sense.
