If you have any questions or would like to view the car in person please email me at: damiondbbrainerd@rossifans.com .

1990 348 TS. Fly Yellow/tan. Clean Carfax, 5 owners. I bought the car 3 years ago out of IL and used the car
about 1500-2000 miles since. Only reason I've used it so little is I have many other toys in the garage and my
driving season is about 5 months long.
Here is candid description of the car
The car DOES NOT have service records of any kind. The PO told me the car was serviced at 30k miles, but I could
never find any proof of that searching the cars history, thus consider the car to be in need of/updated engine out
service
Car also needs some cosmetic issues addressed. Drivers front fender has very small crease/dent in it that someone
tried to buff out but buffed through the paint hence some discoloration on that fender (see pics)
Drivers side rear quarter also has a spot/dent previously repaired (but not completely) below the gas door lid that
under the right lighting you can see. (see pics)
PO had the wrong size tires on the fronts and they would occasionally catch the inner lip of each of the front
fender slightly bending them. New tires were installed, but those lower lip edges of the front fenders could be
addressed and it's only really noticeable if you are on the ground looking up at the lip(see pics)
Lowest part of the front spoiler had some damage when I bought it and I made it slightly worse just the other day
putting the car on my four post lift (see pics). This repair may be finished by the end of the listing
Drivers side window does not go up and down. The window motor works, the switch works, it's not getting power.
The wire that powers that switch must be frayed or have a broken connection of the door harness connection (a
common weak point on 348's). If I take the wires from the passenger side switch and plug it into the drivers
switch the window operates.
CEL 1-4 light comes and goes. I have tried pulling the code off the ECU, but it never reveals a code. I have a
new O2 sensor for the 1-4 side ready to install.
Seat's have been re dyed at some point in it life and are very good condition with no side bolster wear
All sticky vents, steering column and center console areas have been fixed
HVAC works and AC blows cold air. The clock resets to zero when the car is turned off.
Small oil leak form passenger side cam cover which would be fixed when serviced
Newly refinished 360 wheels with brand new Yokohama S drive tires
Fresh gearbox oil with Redline Oil. Normal clunky going into second gear when cold (like every Ferrari I have/do
own) but is fine when warm
Brakes are good with no issues
It's a good solid running and driving car that needs a few areas fixed/addressed and an updated service. I use the
car on a regular basis.
I'm only selling this car because I have a limited time opportunity to upgrade to a 348 Spyder.
I am open to PPI's. The car is in Duluth, MN and I don't think anyone here in town can do one, as such the car
would need to get to the twin cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. I can get the car there for serious buyers at
additional expense to the PPI.
I will also deliver the car (open trailer) 8 hrs +/- south of Duluth, MN for minimal cost as that is the direction
of the other car I'm after. For longer distance shipping I can help meet shipper/company here in town
Please take a moment to respect the candor of this description and compare it to other listings of cars in this
price range that give you only minimal information and hide the flaws of the car
NO TRADES. NO TEST DRIVES WITHOUT DEPOSIT. USA SALES ONLY. THANKS FOR LOOKING

Why newly independent Ferrari may be forced into fuel-efficient cars

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

The repercussions from Ferrari's pending transition into an independent automaker won't be understood for some time, but one of the biggest consequences could be that the iconic Italian marque will be forced into building more fuel-efficient vehicles.
As Wired points out, while Ferrari built fewer than 7,000 cars in 2013, its status as a public company could trigger pressure from shareholders to build more six-figure supercars and grand tourers. In turn, doing so could lead the company afoul of US Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards, which dictate that any company that sells over 10,000 vehicles needs to maintain a certain fuel economy average across its fleet or risk fines.
With arguably its most popular model, the 458 Italia, hitting just 17 miles per gallon on the highway and its most efficient model, the turbocharged California T, stuck at 18 mpg, Ferrari isn't in a great place to hit the government's mandates (which are somewhat convoluted as Wired explains). The gist of the situation is that Ferrari will either need to continue limiting the number of vehicles it sells each year - a move that's certain to upset shareholders and irk its boss, Sergio Marchionne - or radically improve the fuel economy of its cars at the risk of performance. Rock, meet hard place.

1960 Ferrari 250 GT sells for over $8 million in record-setting RM auction weekend

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

Although the vast majority of eyeballs were tuned to the madness at Barrett-Jackson this past weekend, that televised car auction wasn't the only high-dollar game in Arizona. RM Auctions brought its usual gaggle of exotic wares to the desert, and the car that came out on top sold for much more than Barrett-Jackson's highest sale, the Batmobile.
Coming out on top at RM last weekend was Lot 164, a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta 'Competizione' that sold for a massive $8,140,000 - the buyer could've nearly bought two Barris Batmobiles for that chunk of change. Lot 122, a 1967 Shelby 427 'Semi-Competition' Cobra, stood at $2,007,500 in second place, just in front of Lot 145, a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4, which sold for $1,842,500.
After all said and done, RM reported $36.4 million in sales. That's a record for RM in Arizona, even though the total number of lots for 2013 was reduced significantly. Eight machines cracked the million-dollar mark, and you can see all of them in the press release right down below or peruse all of the auction results here. But first, be sure to scroll through our high-res image gallery of live photos above.

LaFerrari racing prototype spotted in Southern Europe

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

Rumors have been circulating for a few months now that Ferrari could be gearing up to challenge for outright victory at Le Mans once again with an LMP1 racer of its own. First the head of the sports racing division hinted at the prospect, then the head of the Formula One team lent it more credence, and most recently, the chairman of the company itself confirmed the possibility. We've even heard some rumors over who could drive the thing. But what we haven't seen yet is any solid proof that the Prancing Horse marque has actually been working on such a racecar.
That could be what we're looking at it here, but then again, it might not be. Spied undergoing testing in Southern Europe, this camouflaged test mule appears to be based on the new LaFerrari supercar, but with some key modifications that indicate this isn't the road-going version. The revised aero is a dead giveaway, with that giant front splitter jutting out like a swollen lip and a massive rear wing protruding from the back. The headlights are different, it's got center-lock wheels fitted at each corner and there's a big snorkel air scoop protruding from the engine bay.
What's clear is that this is test mule has definitely been set up for the race track. The only question is, to what end? Even with all the add-ons, it's still nowhere near as extreme as the purpose-built prototypes that Audi, Toyota and Porsche will be fielding in the FIA World Endurance Championship this year, and it's missing key features like the mandatory center tailfin. It could be a platform for testing components to use on an upcoming LMP1, but if not for the aforementioned Le Mans rumors, our money would have been on something else - be it a GT racing version of LaFerrari like Maserati did with the Enzo-based MC12, or a customer track toy to follow in the footsteps of the (also Enzo-based) FXX and the 599XX that followed.
