This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION
I purchased this great 308 last summer with the plan to keep it only one year to satisfy my Magnum PI dream. The year is up and despite the protests of my kids, I am selling the car as originally planned. We have been really happy with our purchase and have enjoyed the ride. This particular car was purchased by me because it is a "driver car" and was being sold close to home. When I bought it in Summer 2013 it had just had major service done to belts and hoses, etc. which was a key reason I bought it. I have receipts to verify the completed work. There are only 3000 miles on the car since the service was completed. Since I have owned it I have also replaced the horn compressor ($500), the steering rack ($2000), and have a "new" antenna motor ($400) that is uninstalled currently because the antenna switch is no longer working. I'm told with a new switch the antenna will be up and running. I have not sought a new switch because I am selling the car. EXTERIOR Paint is excellent. The car was stripped down to the metal and repainted - possibly 15 years ago but the paint remains in very excellent shape. It's one of the strongest features on the car. Metal - two very small, discreet and shallow pings on the top of the right fender. Almost look like light hail but paintless dent repair would handle easily. Very hard to see however w/o being at the right angle and lighting. Bumpers - likely original and in fantastic shape - no blemishes. Glass - two small chips on windshield but no cracking/spidering and no need to take any action on the windshield. Removable top in excellent shape - only item to note is minor water marks to the interior/material and cleanable. Exterior is shiny and perfect. Tires - older Michelins but tread is good and there's some good life left in them. Wheels - original likely and in good but not perfect shape. Some rubs on them. INTERIOR Carpet very good. Original floor mats. Doors trim is good. Dashboard is excellent. Rearview mirror not attached - every time I got in car I hit my head on it so I have it off now. Center console is worn with some very small rips in the leather that wraps it. All knobs work with the exception of the antenna switch as mentioned above. Passenger seat - leather shows age and is giving way to some of the tan hide color. Not rips or tears or heavy wear to seams etc. Driver seat - this is in not as good shape. The entry side to the seat is showing some issues on the seam on the back portion and the lower portion bead is in poor shape - see picture. This seat needs repaired or replaced depending on your plans for the car. I've had seat covers on them since I owned the car. Just was my preference so they wouldn't take any additional wear to them. We have original handbook, tool set in bag, and Ferrari keychain. MECHANICALS Wipers, radio, AC, windows all work. Driver window slower than passenger window Headlights pop up and work well Horn works with new compressor Turn signals and brake lights good. Motor starts reliably and runs well - idles beautifully. Exhaust still good but old. Brakes are good. Oil change 300 miles ago Clutch is good. RECENT INSPECTION at reputable local Ferrari repairer (Layland Motors, Canton Ohio) shows need to replace front shock bushings and notes that brake lines are intact but are original and who knows how much longer they will last. This inspection also noted slight leak to valve. I have not noted any leaks from oil or any fluids anywhere. The inspector noted that this is a very solid "driver" car and that if he were being picky and owned it he would likely put $3-4k into it to get it where he would want it. There is a rattling that occurs when car starts particularly - the inspector notes that it's likely a heat shield vibrating agains exhaust. I note that as the car warms up the rattling becomes much less often. No impact on drive-ability of car. There are no other known issues with this car. It has been a blast to drive and it gets a lot of attention - including people who want to take a pic with it etc. This car drives solid and looks really, really good. Starts every time and idles like a champ. I want you to be very confident about this car so please ask questions and I will do my best to answer. This car is being sold AS-IS naturally. I require a $500 Paypal refundable deposit for winning bidder and balance due by cashier's check within 7 days unless Seller and Buyer make other arrangements. If you want to inspect first I would welcome that. I will not be the shipper but I will gladly work with you as you arrange shipping. I have perfect feedback and I want to keep it that way so please ask your questions and I will do my best to give the most accurate answer. Thanks!! On Aug-21-14 at 13:04:16 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE TO LISTING MAJOR SERVICE WAS COMPLETED ON JUNE 13, 2013. TOTAL JOB WAS OVER $6500 BASED ON 73 HOURS OF LABOR INC R&R MOTOR. WORK DONE IN DETROIT. On Aug-25-14 at 18:31:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a question today about the underside of the car. I haven't spent any real time underneath but it looks like it's 35 years old but no structural issues etc. The muffler is not new so it has surface rust on it. It still works fine now. |

2012 Brazilian Grand Prix: The circle is complete, and what a circle it's been [spoilers]
Mon, 26 Nov 2012The track between the lakes, the Circuit d'Interlagos in Sao Paulo, Brazil, yet again served up a fitting finale to the Formula One season. There were all kinds of ways for the two Driver's Championship contenders - Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull and Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari - to win and lose during the 71 laps of the Brazilian Grand Prix, and that was before the rain, before the yellow flags and safety car periods, and before the accidents.
The World Championship lead swapped hands at least three times during the race. By the end of Lap One, in fact, it was a fair question if either driver would have hands, or a car, steady enough to hold it...
Ferrari F150 Enzo-successor takes some loud laps at Fiorano
Tue, 05 Feb 2013From recent spy shots to leaked information, we're starting to get a good idea about just how amazing the unnamed successor to the Ferrari Enzo will be, but now we've finally gotten to see some video of the car testing at the Fiorano Circuit in Italy. This video not only gives us an earful of the car's screaming engine and rumbling exhaust note, it also affords us a view of the car without its fish-face camouflage that it has been caught wearing recently.
The video shows the new supercar testing around the 12-turn, 1.877-mile track with an Enzo, and it is interesting to hear the differences between the 651-horsepower Enzo and its reportedly 950-hp hybrid successor. Scroll down to watch the newest Ferrari going through some track testing, and be sure to turn your speakers up.
Ferrari officially teases successor to Enzo throne
Fri, 14 Dec 2012You're looking at our best view yet of the upcoming successor to the Ferrari Enzo. Rumors kicking around the web insist the new reigning monarch of the Italian kingdom will carry the "F150" name when it bows, otherwise known as the Special Limited Series. Word has it Ferrari has focused all of its experience in Formula One to create the new model. According to the manufacturer's official online magazine, the new ultracar will boast a carbon fiber monocoque chassis built in "an almost handmade style" using four types of the composite. We aren't sure exactly what that means, but the design should keep weight to a minimum.
Power should come courtesy of an 800 horsepower V12 engine married to a HY-KERS system good for an additional 100 hp. Early estimates say the creation will tip the scales at under 3,000 pounds, which means the vehicle will be a performance marvel. Sounds like a party.
