HISTORY I am the 3rd owner
Truck was bought new in Rapid City, SD.
Truck was a gas pump service truck for a Standard Oil company here local from 1958-1985.
Truck was parked in 1985 and has not been driven since.
Truck was stored indoors until approximately 2 years ago.
Has not been driven in salt.
Has a lot of history servicing gas stations in and around Rapid City as well as Keystone, SD where MT Rushmore is located.

I am getting ready to move across country and I'm selling off a few of my project vehicles that I have stashed away.
I do not like getting rid of these old rare vehicles but it is not logical to ship all of them 1000 miles away.
This is truly a rare example of an old work truck.
I would guess this truck would be worth a pretty penny restored and a one-of-a-kind too.
The truck IS NOT for sale locally so it will sell to highest bidder. To be honest, I don't want to sell it locally due to the fact that if it is restored around here and I have to see it running around town, I will regret selling it because I will come back often to visit. I have had several local offers and have turned them down.
There is no reserve. I start my auctions at the price I have to get out of my vehicles.

Truck is in a secure location and can sit here for 60 days as I will be leaving. If you need more time, we can make arrangements. There are several storage units around here and if you set up everything in your name, I will take truck to storage unit at no charge to you.

A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end.
Remainder of balance is due within 7 days of auction end.
I REQUIRE you call me BEFORE making final payment!!! 605-858-3400 is my number!

I will do everything I can to assist with loading/moving/tying down for transport.

Feel free to call number above or email through ebay for any additional pictures, questions, or videos you need to see or ask. I will be happy to take pictures or videos of anything you ask for. You can also feel free to come and inspect the truck at any time you wish.

I NOTICED THAT EBAY AUTOMATICALLY PUT 6 CYLINDERS IN THE AD. IT IS AN 8 CYLINDER. THERE IS NO OPTION TO CHANGE THIS!!!

Chrysler extends fuel tank warranties on LX cars, NHTSA ends probe

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has ended its investigation of 153,817, 5.7-liter and 6.1-liter Hemi V8-powered 2006 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum models after reports of stalling. Chrysler has responded by granting a lifetime warranty on the fuel tanks for these vehicles.
NHTSA received 299 reports of engines stalling while the models were stopped or driving at low speeds, and began an investigation. The government agency found that the control valve shutoff float in the V8s' 19-gallon fuel tank could malfunction if the fuel had too high of an ethanol content. In many cases, the valve would break in the open position, allowing the tank to be overfilled, which would then cause the cars to stall. However, there were no accidents reported, and the vehicles could be restarted immediately.
There will not be a recall on these vehicles because, "the condition represents a low risk to motor vehicle safety and is adequately addressed by Chrysler's extended warranty," NHTSA said to The Detroit News.

Dodge shows can-do attitude with grand Can'avan sculpture

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

There are lots of ways to celebrate an important birthday, and all of them are well deserved. You can throw a big party, buy yourself something nice, or - if you're the altruistic type - do something for others in need. The latter is how Chrysler has opted to mark the 30th anniversary of its Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
Together with hunger-advocacy organization Canstruction, the Chrysler Foundation has built a full-scale replica of the Grand Caravan out of 30,000 food cans in the square at the corner of Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, a ways down the highway from where the real vans are built in Windsor. The sculpture was built over the course of 10 hours by 30 volunteers and was displayed earlier this week.
Now the installation is being taken down, and the cans of food are being donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which will assemble them into 2,000 food baskets to be distributed to those in need through its network of 200 food banks across the Canadian metropolis. Check out a neat time-lapse video of the build and the press release below.

Redonkulous Dodge Charger is ridin' high

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

We're a bit hazy on the styling of this particular donk, which was recently spotted hashing about by HotCarsTV at the Southern Heritage Classic Car show in Memphis. Sporting a dope paint job and some wheels that make a blunt statement about what the driver enjoys, it's a unique take on the popular customizing trend.
The owner may be kiefing it real with the theme on this Dodge Charger, but when your car looks like this, it's easy to weed out from the crowd. Chronic police stops must also make it a pain to drive on a regular basis, though. Even with the big wheels, we bet the driver still finds time to light 'em up. Take a look down below for a brief video of this outrageous mean green machine on the road.
