2010 Dodge Charger RT with the 5.7 Hemi, this was my wife's personal vehicle for the past 4 years. She was the 2nd owner and purchased it from Greenway Dodge with 12k miles, it now has 97k miles but looks as if it only has 9k miles, gets compliments wherever she takes it, it has by far been one of the best vehicles we have ever owned and would not hesitate to buy another. Paint and body are very nice, no paint touch ups, no rust, very minimal wear that is expected of a daily driven car, but nothing that takes away from the overall eye appeal. It has a factory installed RT stripe package, which really sets it apart from other Chargers. Car looks menacing going down the road and everyone always looks. Car is waved twice a month and stored inside a garage 95% of the time. The interior is as close to mint as you will find as seen in the pictures. It is the fully loaded model with leather dual power heated seats, remote start, automatic xenon lights, navigation with DVD/CD/MP3/Sirius and hard drive built in, power dual automatic windows, cruise, power locks, tilt and telescopic, adjustable pedals, home link system, dual zone A/C and rear A/C vents, fold down rear seats, tinted windows, every option you could order in 2010 besides the sunroof which she didn't want. Car has never been smoked in and always had regular detailing done to keep everything as close to new as possible. This beauty runs like new, never raced, only mod is a K&N air cleaner assembly for gas mileage and it gets about 22 city and 28 highway. Ice Cold A/C, drives like new, no funny noises or rattles. The awesome 5.7 Hemi performs as it should and the trans shifts like new. This Charger has always had its scheduled regular service and oil changes every 2500 miles with only synthetic 5w30 Mobil 1. Rims are the optional 20 polished with Hankook tires and plenty of like left with minimal curb rash, brakes are still in great shape and car stops on a dime.

Dodge celebrates centennial with Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

In 1914, the Dodge brothers went from being a parts supplier to a full-scale automaker, and to celebrate the centennial of this milestone, Dodge will offer special editions of the 2014 Charger and Challenger early next year. Both cars will be sold in limited numbers (although no specific number was given), and these cars will stand out thanks to unique touches like 20-inch wheels, 100th anniversary edition logos and the exclusive High Octane Red Pearl Coat paint job (shown above).
The 100th Anniversary Edition package, which runs $2,200 on the 2014 Charger and $2,500 on the 2014 Challenger, comes with red or black leather seats with a cloud print (for a denim-like look) and metal badges on the seatbacks that read "Dodge Est. 1914," while similar logos are also found on the wheel center caps and front fenders. The instrument gauges are unique to each car, with the Charger getting black gauges and the Challenger getting white gauges, and to enunciate the 100-year anniversary, both cars have red numerals on the speedometer for the 100-mile-per-hour mark.
Finishing off the 100th Anniversary Edition cars, which will be offered on V6 and R/T models, Dodge adds a flat-bottom steering wheel and embroidered floor mats as a part of the package. Scroll down for the full press release for these commemorative models.

Old vs. New: 2014 SRT Viper takes on upgraded 16-year-old Dodge Viper

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

It's easy to play the "Would you rather have a New X or an Old Y with a bunch of upgrades?" game more often than we care to admit, but the crew at Car and Driver have taken bench racing to the next level with their latest video. In it, the magazine pits a brand-new 2014 SRT Viper against a highly modified 1997 Dodge Viper GTS. There are 16 years between the time this particular GTS rolled off the production line and when the new car bowed, but that doesn't mean the old snake's owners have been sitting on their hands.
Thanks to a spate of modifications, the GTS offers up a better power to weight ratio than the new machine, but is that enough to overcome the technological leap forward represented by the 2014 Viper? We won't spoil it for you. You'll just have to check out the full clip below for yourself.

Detroit 3 small cars lay an egg in latest Consumer Reports reliability study

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Consumer Reports has released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey and the results are, in a word, interesting. While we already covered the score-damaging effects of infotainment systems, there's another big angle to the data that's getting some attention - the utterly dismal scores of the Detroit Three's small car offerings.
The turbocharged Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Cruze, as well as the Ford Fiesta were their respective brands' lowest-scoring models, a stat that's made worse by the fact that the American automakers finished 25th, 21st and 23rd, respectively.
That's not acceptable for The Detroit Free Press' auto critic, Mark Phelan, who has penned a scathing critique of the D3's small car reliability scores, arguing that GM, Ford and Chrysler are "out of excuses."
