Don't let the pics fool you. This car needs about a days work to be a driver. It was running and driving 2 years ago when we parked it. With the exception of a single scuff on the rear passenger quarter it is bone straight.
Its a low mile original 1 owner California car
It has only some minor surface rust as seen in images and ZERO CANCER!
it has some minor ignition problem and needs new sparkplug wires and a tune up and that's about it to be a turn key driver. Of course its dirty from sitting outside but it will clean up pretty good.
Upholstery is beat and needs to be replaced. Its loaded with the best 1972 HP 400 and 727 trans. Power disc brakes, air conditioning, cruise control tinted glass. The wheels are off just for storage. Of course we will put them back on. all 4 hub caps are with it. The motor and trans alone are worth more than the opening bid.
Basically its a days work to have it up to a driver (and another day of cleaning out the dust and cob webs) and you can drive it while you restore it.

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.

Thu, 30 May 2013As Fiat looks to become the full owner of Chrysler, all it has standing in its way is the retiree trust of the United Auto Workers, which currently holds the remaining 41.5 percent of the company as the result of the Pentastar's bankruptcy deal. The Detroit News is reporting that that Fiat is currently talking to numerous banks in an attempt to raise around $10 billion to fund the purchase of Chrysler's remaining stake with enough left over to refinance the debt of both companies. We've known that Fiat has been working to obtain the capital to buy out Chrysler for some time now, but this is the first time we've seen Fiat tip its hand about how much cash it thinks it will need to close the deal.
The first order of business is a legal dispute over the value of the UAW's stake in Chrysler, which the report indicates could cost Fiat around $3.5 billion. The acquisition of remaining shares could happen by this summer, but it sounds like CEO Sergio Marchionne (above) might not be ready for a full merger until next year.

And so it is with Chrysler snubbing its nose at a request by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 2.7 million Jeeps the feds insist are at risk of potentially catastrophic fuel tank fires in a rear-end collision.
