This truck turns heads everywhere It goes, and the sound of a un-restricted 454 big-block through the ORIGINAL dual exhausts just adds to the appeal. This is an excellent, simple work truck or restore.

All original except stereo and door speakers. Has restored fuel and brake systems,(2013, includes factory Carb.) with about 250 miles on all, plus tune-up(2013, 250 miles+/-), hoses(Gates USA, 2013, maybe 75 miles), belts(Gates, 2013, maybe 75 miles)and an optima battery(2012). Wheels are contemporary 16-inch(no more hard to find and expensive 16.5 inch tires) with good Dunlap Radial Rovers on front and Goodyear Wrangler GSA's(safe but not new) on rear. Radiator/cooling are in good shape and have new Prestone.

I had purchased the truck to use for re-location/moving; but that never transpired so I am selling, as it has only been sitting in the driveway for last 4-5 months and my GF wants it out!

Truck has rust spots in usual areas, tailgate was never there. There are some trim pieces missing in cab, but the carpet is original and OK, drivers side of bench seat has a tear, dash board has heat-cracks, lower plate under steering wheel is missing; as I said I purchased this to WORK, not for glam.

So if you want a truck that starts EVERY day, will pull a house off its' foundation, tracks straight down the road and has a really nice "survivor" look; you will NOT be disappointed!

Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
