1947 Chevrolet Half Ton Rat Rod Pickup on 2040-cars
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
1947 Chevy 1/2 ton sitting on an S-10 Chassis. 1" drop springs in the front with 2" drop spindles. Power steering, Power Disk brake, tilt. Stock S-10 rear suspension with a couple of leafS taken out. Truck has working 3 point seat belts and a lap belt for middle passenger. All lights work, high and low beam, turn signals, hazards, electric wipers, electric windshield washers, heater and de-frost ( I have driven this truck at -32) and the E Brake works. This has been my driver for the last 2 years. The truck has a solid 350 four bolt main with no leaks ticks or knocks, 4BBL. With a 350 turbo shift kit, works great with no issues. Corvette Rally Wheels. The glass is all good and the windows roll up and down. The gas gauge can be a little wonky and wanders sometimes. There are headers with dual exhaust that sounds awesome. This a Rat Rod and the body is not perfect but over all not bad either. This truck get lots of attention and looks, I will miss it but I am building another project and need some room. I am in Canada and have a TOD for it.

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
