The car has no chrome trim, no door panels, a/c controls, radio, carpet or headliner. There are two panels which need to be replaced due to rust and both panels are being included brand new from Goodmark. One is the left rear quarter panel purchase price $650 plus shipping and is still in the box, very large item. The second is the panel under the rear glass. The front glass has a crack in it and needs to be replaced, a $265 expense as quoted from Safelite. The vehicle was sanded down and painted epoxy primer (black) back in 2007 but is starting to show signs of small surface rust in areas, as stated, this is a project car. The vehicles original odometer (not included) stated 68k miles, the new gauges and everything done since 2007 has around 300 miles, only being moved from garage to home. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?

If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.
