This is a 1965 Chevy chevelle malibu SS rcreation but better!! First of all it is a 454 cubic in V8.thats just the beginning! The car is a frame off complete frame was powdercoated all new suspension hotchkis components,She has 4 wheel power disc brakes not two wheel 4!12 bolt 3:55 gears 3 inch exhaust by pypes! The stance is squatting because of the low profile 18 inch Boss wheels and brand new tires ..there is NO rot or rust on the undercarriage of this car.All the body panels are original with no repaired rust holes or replaced quaters.There are a couple of areas that the previous paint job preparation was not done properly and there are bubbles I pointed out in the pictures. This is a solid car trunk pan has been replaced with a full 1 piece pan done nicely!.The only other piece replaced was the hood which is a 2 inch cowl to accomidate the high rise manifold and the new holley carb.The 4 speed Hurst with the muncie shift perfectly (may need a clutch adjustment) that will be taken care of by selling date..The goodies include ice cold classic ac dit tilt steering and original power steering setup with resrevoir mounted the fender.There has been many thousands of dollars and man hours in this car ..The interior needs finishing and if not sold this time offered I will finish at a much higher price I do have everything to complete..The seats are newly recovered they are 67 seats new headliner that has to be installed properly too loose. It has new door panels installed Im including all the items needed to finish brand new in boxes if not sold this offering I will install and raise the price. This is a running driving registered insured car in my name .I am not a dealer but an enthusiast that loves these chevelles just a little tight at the moment. GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place.
