This is a true garage find im selling for a friend! An all original 1972 El Camino Super Sport 350 4 speed, 12 bolt posi with power disc brakes. The car was last on the road over 28 years ago, When it hit 100,000 miles he took it off the road. He disassembled the engine and trans (long gone) put new GM quarters and fenders and removed the vynal roof,( some small pits in roof can be smoothed, but not noticeable) He stripped the paint, and hand sanded the entire car. The bed and floors are mint, the body is gorgeous, done by a pro for sure. The doors open and close perfect. The original floor has no rust, the 4 speed hump is uncut intact. With a little finish sanding, this car is ready for paint, jambs are done in factory blue. Have most of the original trim, and whats there is very useable, emblems are beautiful. Bumpers are straight, chrome still looks good, with all brackets and rubber bumpers. Missing engine, trans, but have radiator, shroud, driveshaft and almost new headers condition headers that are 30 years old! Wiring harness is complete and fresh looking. Windshield is new and rear window was out as well for jamb painting. Side glass looks good. Still sporting original rims, SS dash, 12 bolt posi. Frame is un hit, no rot, looks perfect, the floors are mint. This is like starting with a Dynacorn rolling chassis and then some! This car was garaged since new, was sitting in a dry Colorado garage in pieces waiting for restoration finish.I invite you to make an appointment to inspect the car and inventory. Many extra parts, some small things missing. Door panels, carpets, dash pad are in okay shape for a daily driver or used as a core. Dash is uncut original, has an aftermarket cassette player thats probably an antique! Bid quickly, this car is for sale locally, there is no reserve. Bid to win! Sold as is

GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
