1966 Corvair Corsa Convertible-- NO RESERVE!
Originally came with the 140hp, 4-carb motor. Currently has no motor. Has the original 4-speed transmission included with the vehicle.
The following items have been replaced with new parts from Clark's Corvair Parts:
New weld-in battery tray, formed replacementNew gas tank
New gas tank sending unit
New gas tank filler hose
New Speedometer cable
New master brake cylinder
New brake drum cylinders (all 4 wheels)
New brake shoes and springs (all 4 weels)
Interior body has also been sanded and painted to prevent any future rust.
Current condition:
This car is in need of complete restoration. The convertible top mechanism works, but there is no fabric top. All glass is original and included, no cracks. All gauges are present, unknown if they work or not. AM radio (probably original) is included but not installed. Some original badging included. Seats included but in need of complete reupholstering. Corvair wheels with whitewall tires included, currently sporting Monza hubcaps. Any chrome included on the car is original and therefore in fair/poor condition. Rust in front of the usual places for a corvair- in front of the passenger door in fender, and some around the front windshield. Otherwise fairly rust free. Needs some bodywork all around.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.

Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
