12 bolt posi traction rear end. No power Windows, seats, locks or top. No A/C. Bucket Seats. Console Factory gauges and tack that works good. Engine is 454, not sure of year. Trans is turbo 400 that works great. Posi rear end works good too.
I stored it often and didn't drive it alot. Has new distributor. Great running and driver perfect steering, drives straight down the road with no pull. I have the original owner's manual. Paint is 2 years old. Stripped and done nice with urethane enamel monaco orange. Have gotten lots of compliments on color. Body has very little filler. Hood, fenders, trunk lid and doors had no rust. Rear quarter panels were replaced with 1969 ones. Exhaust is in good condition. Has headers and 3" exhaust with flowmasters. Sounds great. New rear air shocks. New rubber door and trunk seals. Everything works good for core radiator. Tires good. Original Factory steering wheel. Interior nice just some wear on left front seat. Basically really nice car. Im only selling because I had a car accident in January while driving a little Kia and tore 2 rotater cups and neck injured so i have to give up working on cars. Otherwise I wouldn't sell this car. CAR SEEMS LIKE A REAL SS. CAN'T BE SURE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER BUT HAS ALL SS BIG BLOCK PARTS SO >NO GUARANTEE< THAT IT'S AN SS.
Selling it for good price. Good deal.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.

Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. There's a press release below with more information as well as a video that explains how it works, with the obligatory dig at the 'Vette's biggest foe.
