1970 Impala Caprice Hardtop 27,000 Original Miles Must See Tilt Air Conditioning on 2040-cars
Clinton, Missouri, United States
This is a super rare find and the car should be in someone's personal collection. Car runs and drives like a dream. Needs detailed because it has been sitting in the garage for 40 plus years but is amazing condition. You won't come across this opportunity again. The interior looks new and even under the dash looks amazing! Car really does drive like a new car. A/C was blowing cold last summer but is getting low on Freon but it will hold a charge because there is still pressure in the lines. Car was bought new by a friends great uncle and used as a grocery getter literally. Bought new in Clinton, MO and never left town and rarely left the garage. Bought at Stayton Chevrolet. Trunk is super clean as is all of the original weather-stripping. Brakes are perfect and stops well. Turns with your fingertip! All of the glass is clean and not scratched. One hubcap is mismatched because it fell off long ago and they never found the correct piece and a piece of trim is incorrect. The seats look like they are brand new! Headliner is amazing with no flaws. Doors open and shut with ease and hood opens and closes better than any hood I have ever opened and closed including newer cars. This is the ultimate family cruiser and is ready to enjoy the summer. You really could fly in and drive this car home.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
