For auction is a 2002 Chevrolet Camaro, 35th anniversary Z28 with the B4C Interceptor upgrades. It was meticulously maintained by the Florida Highway Patrol, purchased by a Marine in South Carolina where the engine was rebuiltby a local shop. He drove it for a year then I purchased it to build as a show car to raise money for veterans charities. I have owned it for 3 years now and have had it stored indoors from fall through spring. It has a custom house of kolor paint job that is black with dark green metallic that only shows up in direct sunlight, and custom painted Konig monsoon rims that are flat black with an Army green ring and chrome fake beadlock bolts. All professsionally done. All factory paint and slight body defects have been removed. Tha engine was upgraded when it was rebuilt with corvette heads and an SS cam, heads were deck planes a little also. I have higher ratio rockers and bullet alluminum taller valve covers to put in but havnt yet. They will be included in the auction. I also had a custom true dual exhaust installed with headers with 3 inch collector's, straight into high flow 3 inch cats, straight into single chamber mufflers, then turned down and out to the side. The rear lights have been professionally blacked out so they are still bright at night, it has custom front headlights and matching blacked out side markers. Tires are good, but may need replaced soon. Runs great well maintained with full synthetic oil changed regularly. I was going to finish the interior this spring with digital camo seat fabric, but now I will not be able to. I know you will enjoy this car. Good luck and happy bidding!

The factory radio antenna was shaved off when it was painted as you can see in the pics, and an amplified internal antenna was installed.

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]

Wed, 15 May 2013

We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
