I bought this car as a project which I intended to keep for many years but financially I cannot afford it at this point. I have spent around 10k in making this a perfect driver now. The entire motor has been over hauled and runs perfectly. Everything from plugs and plug wires, gaskets, seals, power steering, intake with is off of the SS, new oil pan no leaks at all, brand new transmission put in with a new shift kit 2 months ago and runs and shifts perfectly, new brakes and tires and the rims are staggered and off a Z06. 17" fronts and 18" rears, magna flow exhaust with 3" chrome pipes, new air pump and O2 sensors, eibiech lowering springs 1.5" drop which looks great turns heads but is low. Fans belts all new, air blows I've cold, t-tops don't leak and brand new window motors and regulators. Starts right up and drives great a perfect driver that needs nothing
I bought from a family friend of the original owners..

Upon end of auction buyer is responsible for payment in full via wire or via. You will be responsible to make a non refundable $1k deposit which can be deducted from final sale price. Buyer is also responsible for local pick up if in California or shipment of vehicle. Seller will not ship vehicle buyers responsibility. The payment needs to be cash there is no available financing of vehicle. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Who ever wins this auction will get a true piece of American heritage. This car turns heads everywhere and needs nothing. I have done everything needed to buy and enjoy. Will last a long time to come for one lucky person

Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
