Where are the LT1 Fbody tuners at???? 

I have a 91 camaro RS that we did an LT1 4L60E swap into this past winter. IT HAS SERIOUS TUNING AND SOUP UP POTENTIAL!!! The hard work is done!!!!!  (i.e. wiring and motor swap)

If you don't know that LT1's did not come stock in a 91 camaro, or what an LT1 is, then please hit the back browser button and click on something else. you don't need this car.

  This car came with a 305 TBI motor and a 700R4 transmission.  (the second to worst motor GM ever built). When the LT1 came out, it dwarfed the previous motors in every way until the LS1 hit the market. The car pushes about 345 rear wheel horse (vs the 179 flywheel horsepower  (150 rear wheel) it used to have with the stock 305.)

it runs and drives, is registered and inspected with current tags, insured, i drive it all the time.  

the work that needs to be finished is:

speedometer needs to be wired in. [who doesn't have a smart phone these days, or a GPS? I use an app on my android phone called Ulysse Speedometer, which has a cool HEADS UP DISPLAY option, and throw my phone on the dash in the defroster vent, and it reflects my speed off of the windshield like a corvette HUD..... pretty cool actually, and MUCH more accurate than the actual speedometer would be anyway]


front suspension (not sure what exactly, it pulls to the left, but it did it before we put the motor in, just ran out of money to invest in the car.)

The STEERING BOX is an upgraded "race use only" box that is way more precise than the boat like box the car came with. once the slack is taken out by replacing the bushings, and doing a front end alignment, this car will absolutely handle on rails.. we're talking a few bucks here... 

a few little brackets under the hood like mounting the ECU to the fender well, and mounting the power steering reservoir to something solid, or replacing it with a corvette reservoir. 

finish taping up the wiring harness corners once you add any electrical that you wish to add (it's left undone to make modifications easier for the next owner)

install the (included) brand new stereo and speakers

install the bezels once the stereo is put in.. (ALL interior parts are included with this car, whether you see them in the photos or not...)

a few sensors that aren't important, like one for the temp gauge. (the ECU knows the engine temp, but the dash gauge doesn't show it. the car the motor came out of DID NOT HAVE a water temp gauge in the cockpit, therefore it is not important under any circumstances to have it. It's just an addon that the camaro had, so if you want it, you need to put a second temp sensor in the motor and run the wires to the temp gauge (it's the same sensor a early 90's vortech truck would use for the gauge)

There is a check engine light on because the ECU is looking for a smog pump that no longer exists on the car. i.e. there is NO power robbing emissions crap on this car, but the computer thinks there is, therefore, a check engine light comes on. (naturally)....  Tune the ECU to omit the smog pump and the check engine light will go away.  The smog pump is the only code it throws. everything else is legit. 

That's really about it. It's a good reliable car. 

There is NO hail damage on the car, NO bondo, the hood has a little issue on the front corner, and obviously, it needs paint, but this car has a serious hotrod potential, just throw some cash at it and make it into whatever you want to make it into! I left a lot of room for alteration and customization. Paint it whatever color you want, do whatever you want to the motor, it's all up to you.  

The interior is in good shape, but the drivers seat has 2 small holes less than the size of a dime, and i'm sure there are some stains in the carpet. the headliner needs new fabric, and the car could stand new weather stripping. the DASH IS FACTORY ORIGINAL AND HAS NO CRACKS!!!!  

The AC would work if it was hooked up and re-charged. I never got that far.. it worked before we swapped the motor. I opted not to plug it in and charge it for the additional power over comfort.

if you don't know what any of that means, i suggest not buying the car. I'd rather sell it to someone who has an idea of what i'm talking about and how to do some of this stuff on their own / a weekend shade tree mechanic who will soup the motor up to push some serious power, make it look nice, and CHERISH this car, instead of someone who will neglect it and trash it out. 

The motor and trans had 45k miles on them before putting them in, probably 48000 or less by now. it runs and drives RELIABLY, does not die, does not stall,  rear shocks are new, lots and lots of work went into this car. the harness was put together by a 25+ year certified mechanic, the engine swap was done at a motorsports shop, and it's all legit, just a few things to finish up as your budget allows. I've put as much as i want to into this car in order to make it a solid platform for you, it's time to let someone else soup it up!!! 

Has brand new 18" iroc rims and the tires were brand new, but are showing some wear because of the front suspension needing to be redone. 

This is a cast iron block with cast iron heads.  and a B-body intake since they don't really make a cold air intake for an LT-1 swap in a 3rd gen camaro, and the RS didn't come with the standard cold air intake that the Z28 did. 

YOU are responsible for having this car towed out of state, i will -not- call to get quotes, i will -not- set up shipping, i will -not- put one ounce of effort into getting this car to you, you are 100% responsible IF you want it shipped, which is why i am listing this as LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. It will drive anywhere you want to go with it, and i'll gladly pick you up at the airport for $150, just add gas to the car and your butt to the seat and drive it across the country. doesn't matter....   with that said, it's sold as is.

 I just don't have time to make a bunch of calls to get shipping rates for a bunch of people who aren't serious about buying it, and i can't even guess at what shipping would be for a car. I honestly have more important things to do. I own a business, and my time is LIMITED and worth $150/hr.  I'm not trying to be rude, just, please keep that in mind when you email me asking me questions that i have covered in this auction already. If i HAVEN'T covered something, please ask. if i have covered it, I won't respond if i don't think the question is worth answering. If i don't answer, then please feel free not to bid.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra debut all-new designs, three new engines

General Motors has finally dropped the curtain on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. Both trucks have undergone substantial revisions with updated versions of the company's 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. In a shot across the bows of both Ford and Chrysler, GM says it won't use a V6 engine adapted from passenger car applications. Instead, it developed the 4.3-liter engine based on its proven truck-duty architecture.
All three mills will boast direct injection fuel systems as well as a new cylinder head design. Combined with a revised piston, the new engines feature a smaller combustion chamber with a compression ratio of 11:1 or higher depending on the application. Cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing are all part of the recipe, and each engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with auto grade breaking. So far, no fuel economy or horsepower figures have been released, though GM says the new engines will best their predecessors in both areas.
Outside, the trucks feature a number of enhancements to reduce drag and wind noise, and GM claims both the Silverado and Sierra will offer buyers some of the quietest cabins in the class. Extended cab models now feature front-hinged rear doors to allow easier access to the back passenger area, and Crew Cab buyers can now select between a five-foot, eight-inch bed or a six-foot, six-inch bed. Buyers with a mind toward going off road will also rejoice in the return of the Z71 package, complete with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and additional under-body protection.

GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
