Aluminum 2.02 pro dart series heads. 11:1 compression. 6 inch forged H-Beam lift rods and forged crank shaft as well. All brand new parts. All A.R.P Bolts used and Head Studs also. Engine is internally balance for quicker revs. fluid damper harmonic balancer Victor jr. intake with HP Holly .750 double pumper, Msd ignition with rev limiter. This motor was built for me by Dumholfs Automotive in harmony pa. and was dynoed at 500 horse at 7000 RPM. This car will rev to 7000 very easy and very quickly. being internally balanced and having 6 inch rods really help this happen and the camshaft of course.. The interior is pretty much all stock but in decent condition. very clean inside and out. Brandnew flywheel with a 3 fingerstyle Pressure Plate and New Clutch from hayes and a Steel Bell Housing from lakewood. There s also a safety loop mounted around the front side of drive shaft right behind the transmission. Has a Super T10 Borg Warner 4 speed Transmission with a Hurst Plus Shifter and Linkage. Has a 10 bolt rear end with .373 gears. electric holly blue fuel pump, line locks with switch mounted on shifter and a red light on dash so you can see when ur locked and when ur not, centerline aluminum wheels with Mickey Thompson street/strip tires. This car has frame ties so u can launch hard all u want. car won't twist. duel exhaust and flow master mufflers. I put a 4 inch cowl induction fiber glass hood on it and polished the under side of it also. I have an original hood for this year also that goes with it. monster tack to mounted on side of dash. Car shines underneath as it does on outside of car. This has never seen rain or snow. I hardly drive it. Just to a few local car shows in town occasionally. I only put 200 miles or less on this since I built it. Anybody that knows me or seen this car with tell you that. its well kept and in a heated garage. it won two trophys over at the hot rod super nationals in Canfield ohio for best of show and has the stickers on the windshield to prove. I have alot of money in this so make me an offer but be reasonable please. i have over 15k just in this motor alone.. These wheels and tires I just put on about a year ago and paid $3000 for them.. any questions please just ask. I'm sure I left something out here. Serious Inquiries Only Please!!

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

Conquest and controversy conclude the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona [spoilers]

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

If you don't wish to know who won the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, you should avert your eyes right now. We'll even give you a double-space to skedaddle...
For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
