I have for sale a 1980 Chevrolet Camaro. I bought it from a friend who bought it at a classic car auction. From the receipts we found in the glove compartment and console we believe the car was completed in 2009 but it has only less than 2000 miles since its completion. It has a brand new Summit crate motor 350 c.i. 290 horse, professionly rebuilt turbo 400 transmission, new ceramic coated headers and new dual exhaust(sounds really nice), stall speed, polished Edelbrock intake and carb, polished alternator, power steering and brakes, air conditioning and more. New Cragars and B.F.Goodrich tires. Body work and super nice metallic paint, very straight body and new steel cowl hood. The interior is nice and clean the front buckets do need replacement vinyl seat covers as the driver's bucket is splitting at the sewn seams. CD player. Mechanically this car starts and runs great, safe to go coast to coast, I've driven it on some longer trips including a 6 hour round trip without incident. I love the old hot rods but its always nice to leave and arrive home without a break down or carrying a bunch of tools. Moving on to another car so I'd like to sell this but not give it away or look for a trade. 2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.

Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.
