1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS / RS 4 Speed Convertible - Restored
This Camaro is an excellent example of a nicely restored and desirable highly optioned convertible. The restoration
was completed within the last few years and the car is finished in the correct factory colors (LeMans Blue -71-,
White Top -A-, Ivory/Black trim -727-) just as was originally produced.
This restored Camaro looks just like the listing pictures that were taken this week and it drives great. The car is
currently part of a prized Southern California muscle car collection and may be viewed in the Newport Beach area.
The Camaro is equipped as follows-
Drivetrain-
350 V8 engine
4-bbl Holley Carburetor
Dual chambered exhaust with headers
4-Speed transmission with Hurst shifter
12 bolt rear end
Options-
(Several of these options were extremely limited production)

headlight washers, wheel opening moldings, chrome-accented tail and parking lights, below bumper back-up lights
Super Sport “SS” Package: Power front disc brakes, SS identification, engine accents, raised white lettered
tires, 12-bolt rear end

tachometer)
AM radio
Comfortilt steering column
Special Rosewood sport styled steering wheel
dual outside mirrors
sport stripes
rally wheels
Chevrolet “Custom” interior
vanity mirror
door edge guards
RS rubber floor mats
trunk mat
matching white convertible top boot
auxiliary lighting package: Ashtray light, courtesy light, luggage compartment light, underhood light
This Camaro looks and runs great! Call Mark at (949)642-7447 for additional information about the car or to set a
time to inspect the car in the Newport Beach area of Southern California. The buyer is responsible for picking the
car up in Southern California or for shipping. We can assist the buyer in the shipping process if needed.
This restored Camaro currently is over 47 years old so the true mileage is unkown and we are selling it as is.
Everything operates as intended except the radio doesn’t seem to work and the concealed headlight system worked
until recently and we are told that there most likely is a vacuum leak keeping the headlight doors from opening and
shutting properly. The 350 engine was previously replaced.

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
