Hi Everyone and WELCOME to my auction!

(I'm listing this car for my brother, Joe, who is unfamiliar with selling cars on eBay. I've sold a few here in the past, so I offered to set up the auction. Nevertheless, as the car is owned and registered to him, I will be forwarding any inquiries to him.)

For your consideration, I have this super clean, sweet driving 1969 Camaro Z28 CLONE. When Joe purchased the car, the seller told that it was an original SS X 11 car. That being said, he's not an authority on Camaros and took the gentleman at his word. He was told that the tags tell the story. (I've included pictures of them in the ad. I hope that'll suffice.) The car was originally equipped with air conditioning but its missing components now. The heat works fine.

The car is equipped with a (non-matching) 350 V8 engine, dual exhaust, new tires and a new interior (including new door panels, weather stripping, carpet, door panels refilled seats and vintage style radio.) The odometer reads 9,393 miles, but he has no way of verifying the mileage.

Though not a show car, the camaro shines beautifully turns heads everywhere it goes. The paint is in great shape, although there are a few imperfections here and there. (I've tried to show them in the pics.) The floor and trunk are solid and there is no visible rust.

The car is located in Staten Island, Zip code 10308.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have or present an offer.

Thanks for your interest and God bless.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
