My father passed and left me with our 69 Camaro Coupe that was a barn find.We are the second owners of the car.This car is a rare X086 model with a 3 speed shifter on the column. You don't find them like this anymore. An unmolested barn find,matching numbers original car.Needs to be restored.Floor pan rusted, underneath hood rusted, around trunk lid rusted, and a few others, not bad.Body is straight, hasn't been wrecked. Chrome bumpers are good, not rusted. Has been repainted blue, was pea green, ugh.327 v8. It runs but needs a valve job. dad rebuilt the 2 barrel carburetor, new plugs,wires, fuel pump and a few others so he could drive it around to work on it, but he passed right after that.The exhaust is rusted so it can't be run long and has been sitting for a few years under a carport and cover.The car is complete, everything is there that I can see.Clear title, and keys in hand. Buyer responsible for pickup or shipping, which mat have to be a private carrier due to the car not being able to be started all the time and moved.Please give her a good home, I hate to sell it, but we need to buy my dads property with the sale of this car.Proper paper work will be sent with title for transfer purpose, this estate is still under probate.I have the right to end this auction early and cancel any bids, due to the fact that this car is listed for sale locally. GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

Thu, 07 Mar 2013Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
