For sale is a 1968 Chevy Camaro RS. I've owned this vehicle for 17 years and have partially restored it. It runs and sounds great. All new inside and outside fender wells, rear quarter panels, trunk and shock towers. New exterior door skins, rear valance, front lower valance. Replaced front grill and trim and bezels 2005. Have emblems but have not installed. New gas tank and sending unit, gauge doesn't work, possible grounding issue. All new floor pans as well. Has no rust. It's been garage kept since metal work was done. Exhaust system all new around 2007. New carpet and spoiler. Less than 500 miles on rebuilt transmission. Paint job in 2006. 350 4 bolt main, runs great. Tires are in fair condition, rims are Chevy Rallies off a Corvette. I didn't get to the upholstery and the headliner. The heater doesn't work, have never looked into it, there is no radio but dash is still stock and will hold the original size radio. Hideaway headlight covers have not been wired since I've owned it, you have to open them by hand. Headlights, turn signals, brake lights etc, all work. Windshield wipers work fine, windows all work. Exterior is yellow, interior is black/yellow. Not a lot left to finish but just don't have the time anymore. Looks beautiful, fun to drive. Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
