Here is a super nice 68 Camaro Convertible. It is not an SS but it is an original 350 car. The car came from the Florida and was pretty must rust fee when I bought it. I then completely restored the Camaro about 7-8 years ago. It was a high quality frame off restoration. Mostly OEM parts were used when possible. A base coat clear coat system was used. The frame and floors are in excellent condition. The body still is in excellent condition. However there are some minor paint flaws through the years. Car is black with painted white stripes. The interior still looks great. The radio never worked but it is the original radio. The top is new and it is manual. The car is garage kept and only driven about 150- 200 miles per year.

Mechanical: The 350 engine was rebuilt when it was restored. It was bored .30 over and a mild roller cam was added. It also has headers, dual exhaust, 7 quart oil pan, electronic ignition, Edelbrock manifold, Holly 750 carburetor. The engine was dyno tested at about 400 horsepower. The transmission is a turbo 350 and was rebuilt as well. It contains a stall speed converter. The rear is a 10 bolt with highway gears. The front end is totally new. I also installed front disc brakes. Car has Weld two piece alloy wheels and four new tires.

This is a no reserve auction and I believe the car is priced to sell. These cars are getting hard to find and will continue to increase in value over time. This has been a great car over  the years for me. It has been to cruise ins, car shows and even taken the kids for an ice cream ride. The time has come to sell it and it will serve the new owner well.

Payment; There is a $500 good faith deposit required within 48 hours of the auction's close. The deposit is fully refundable if you are not satisfied for any legitimate reason. The balance is due with seven days of the auction's close. It is payable via certified funds or cash in person.

Shipping/Delivery:I will deliver the car with a 250 mile radius for a fee. That fee will be based on distance, tolls, full, and time.I will also bring it to local airports or train stations. Naturally full payment is due before shipping/delivery. The exceptions are air ports and train stations where you can pay the balance is person. I will also assist you with shipping arrangements that you make.

Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.

Can A Fleet Queen Become a Fullsize King?
On paper, the Chevrolet Impala is a pretty strong seller, posting annual sales that have hovered right around 170,000 units for the last two years, but it only takes one trip to practically any rental car agency to discover where the majority of those sales have come from. In fact, General Motors told Autoblog that a full 70 percent of Impala sales last year went to fleet companies for things like rental cars and government vehicles. Logic tells us that this is neither good for resale values nor name equity, so Chevrolet is getting ready to roll out an all-new Impala with improved comfort, styling and technology, hoping to turn the tables on its retail-to-fleet ratio.
Chevrolet's sedans have come on quite strong in the last few months with the introduction of the Cruze diesel and the SS sedan, but while these will likely be low-volume sellers, there's more pressure for the new Impala to perform well as GM looks to slash fleet sales and compete with the wide variety of full-size sub-luxury sedans. Riding on a platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, the 2014 Impala will compete against the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon on the more traditional side, while also looking to take a bite out of somewhat sportier models like the Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger twins and the Nissan Maxima. We headed to sunny San Diego to see if this totally new Impala can stand on its own without the assistance of fleet companies and rental agencies. [w/video

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra debut all-new designs, three new engines

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

General Motors has finally dropped the curtain on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. Both trucks have undergone substantial revisions with updated versions of the company's 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. In a shot across the bows of both Ford and Chrysler, GM says it won't use a V6 engine adapted from passenger car applications. Instead, it developed the 4.3-liter engine based on its proven truck-duty architecture.
All three mills will boast direct injection fuel systems as well as a new cylinder head design. Combined with a revised piston, the new engines feature a smaller combustion chamber with a compression ratio of 11:1 or higher depending on the application. Cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing are all part of the recipe, and each engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with auto grade breaking. So far, no fuel economy or horsepower figures have been released, though GM says the new engines will best their predecessors in both areas.
Outside, the trucks feature a number of enhancements to reduce drag and wind noise, and GM claims both the Silverado and Sierra will offer buyers some of the quietest cabins in the class. Extended cab models now feature front-hinged rear doors to allow easier access to the back passenger area, and Crew Cab buyers can now select between a five-foot, eight-inch bed or a six-foot, six-inch bed. Buyers with a mind toward going off road will also rejoice in the return of the Z71 package, complete with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and additional under-body protection.
