1985 Chevrolet C10 Silverado Swb 2wd Hotrod Rust Free Restored No Reserve on 2040-cars
Rogers, Arkansas, United States
If you like to be seen and heard when you go by, you should take a look at this clean little Chevy pickup truck. It's already had allot of love put into it, just needs a few finishing touches to be top notch. Clean, smooth running, great sounding, 350 small block engine moves it freely down the road. Good moonstone like paint job that glistens in the sunlight. Chrome 15x10 Weld wheels with good even tread 275/60R15 tires all the way around. Roll pan rear bumper adds some distention to the truck. Has a paint matched spray in bedliner. Tailgate trim is removed from the truck and also the chrome ring around the tail lights. I bought this truck the way it is and put about 500 miles on it roughly (speedo and odo do not work) and haven't had any problems with it and averaged about 16.5 mpg on a roadtrip up and back with the bed loaded and average speed about 55 mph. Here's a list of the goods and not so goods about the truck
350 engine with Edelbrock intake and carb and sounds like a small cam also Headers with dual exhaust going to Flowmaster like mufflers (will look under and provide the brand) Turbo 350 transmission that shifts great Engine runs around 170 degrees at all times Gauges all work except speedo and odo (possibly just the cable not hooked up, haven't looked) Cowl hood (has some surface rust on the bottom side) Truck itself is rust free (may have had rust previously and been repaired i do not know) Power windows that work well Interior is complete Whole interior has been dyed gray at one time (shows pretty well but it looks like it was originally brown) Runs and drives good but has a little shake from 42 to 47 when unloaded Truck doesn't appear to have been lowered Open rear dif, not posi or limited slip Aftermarket steering wheel and the horn still works Tailgate opens and shuts properly with ease All the lights work Small dent in the front passenger fender Some paint imperfections and some small overspray on the core support and driver's push button on the door handle Do not think it leaks any fluids but it is an old carbed 350 so small oil leak here or there is expected Aftermarket older radio with 4 speakers. 2 in the dash and 2 behind the seat. Older unit but done well I tried to list everything that came to mind about the truck and openly about any issues that i have found while owning and driving the truck. I have the truck for sale locally so i reserve the right to end the auction early for any reason. Best luck and please ask any questions you may have and i will answer them to the best of my knowledge and i can email more pictures. |

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
Chevy rolls out Silverado HD High Country
Wed, 09 Apr 2014It's been a good week for heavy-duty truck buyers. First, Ram revealed the Black Package for its HD trucks, then it rolled out its new Power Wagon, and now Chevy's getting in on the action with its Silverado High Country HD. Okay, so it may not pack quite the attitude of Ram's latest 2500-series offerings, but the High Country HD will come as a welcome addition to the Chevy Trucks range to those looking to pull their horse, boat or other trailer without skimping on creature comforts.
Rolled out a little under a year ago, the High Country trim is Chevy's answer to the likes of the GMC Denali, Ford King Ranch and Ram Longhorn. It has until now only been offered on the light duty, 1500-series Silverado, but now extends to the 2500 and 3500-series HD models, as well.
So what sets a High Country pickup apart from lesser Chevy trucks? You'll be able to pick it out based on its chrome horizontal grille, body-color bumpers, 6-inch tubular side steps, 20-inch chrome wheels (18-inch on the 3500 and 17-inch on the dualie) and, of course, plenty of special badging. But it's inside where the High Country makes its mark, with a cabin decked out in saddle brown perforated leather, seats that are both heated and cooled, eight-inch touchscreen with full MyLink suite, Bose audio and park assist functions front and rear to keep those color-keyed bumpers looking fresh. (Though Chevy hasn't yet showed us the interior of the HD model, it'll presumably look mostly the same as the cab in the 1500 High Country in the gallery below.)
