No expense spared when I built this truck. I built the 355 4 bolt main with a steel crank, steel rods, blower pistons and World Product Heads last year. It has 650 DP Holley Blower carbs and a Weiand 6-71 Blower. MSD Ignition and dual electric fans. Never gets hot. It has a Tremec TKO 600 5 speed with a Centerforce clutch and a lightweight billet steel flywheel. 4"5" drop with spindles and coils, sway bars front and back with a 3:73 Auburn Posi 12 bolt rear. It has 4 wheel disc brakes with Boss 20x10s in the rear and 20x8s in the front. Great tires. Ready to drive. It runs 2k rpm at 75mph. I've takin it on three power tours. The first two it had a 383 stroker in it. There are less then 3,000 miles on this engine.
This is one of my favorite trucks but after three years its time for something new. This thing gets more looks than anything else I have ever taken on the Power Tour. Over 15k invested with no expense spared on the the engine and drivetrain. The guy before me lost the title and instead of correctly applying for a lost title he got a salvage title so it does a have a previously salvaged title now. |

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. 2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.

What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
