1969 Chevrolet C-10 Restomod on 2040-cars
Borger, Texas, United States
This 1969 Chevy C10 Short Bed pickup received a frame-off rotisserie restoration and build just 1150 miles ago.
Everything was completely re-done. It is in like new condition, needs nothing and is ready to be enjoyed.
The Medium Blue Metallic and Silver paint is beautiful and the truck has a nice sporty look with a cowl induction
hood, new 20" gun metal gray wheels with low profile tires and slightly lowered/leveled stance.
The interior has been completely re-done with custom bucket seats and center console from TMI Products,
Intellitronix Digital Dash, New Carpet with sound proofing, Retro-Sound vintage stereo that gives the old school
look with modern convenience, kick panel speakers and an Alpine amp. New Vintage AC keeps the cab nice and cool on
hot days.
The truck is powered by a freshly re-built 350 V-8 performance engine with new Holly Super Sniper Stealth
Electronic Fuel Injection System and aluminum intake. It has a 4L60E Transmission with overdrive and performance
shift kit built by Monster Transmissions. It will cruise down the highway at 80 mph and 1800 RPM. Very smooth and
comfortable. Power steering and 4 wheel power disc brakes. New Aluminum Radiator, Dual Exhaust and a 12 bolt rear
end and much more. Fuel Tank has been relocated to rear of vehicle and it has the Hyperfuel Systems Command Center
2 EFI Fuel Delivery System.
The engine bay and underbody of the vehicle are as clean as it is up top. There are no leaks, rust or issues of any
kind.
This vehicle has been done right and it has modern improvements to increase reliability, performance and comfort
without getting too far away from its old school style

GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title
Thu, 12 Sep 2013General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.
Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs
Sun, 01 Dec 2013
The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
