fully restored c-10 no bolt was left unturned. Starting with the truck the was completely tore down to the frame. The frame was blasted and had a frame coating  sprayed on. All suspension parts were also blasted and painted. The motor and transmission were completely rebuilt. All new parts were used and block was professionally machined. The body of the truck was 95%rust hole free. There were small holes in both lower front fenders. Small enough to have used patch panels on. This was done to keep the original fenders that have factory numbers on them, aftermarket one do not have this. The hood and doors were dipped in Evansville, in.surprising they had no rust at all. The cab had two small rust hole about the size of a quarter.cab corners had no rust just dirt and grime. All windows were replaced and new seals all around. The seat was recovered as well. Truck still has its factory jack and hardware.all new chrome handles inside and out. The bed hade rust in it all this was professionally patched and new wood kit was installed.it was teak oiled, stained, and sparurathaed for ultimate protection from water.at some point it will have to be washed. Has new end gate and front bed panel. Has new chrome grill, and bumpers.new tail light were installed with new wire harnesses.just so much new things were used in the restoration it is hard to get it all down. I have tons of pictures of the teardown and assembly. If serisoly interested I can email more pictures. If need to ask about things you can call my cell phone.#812-639-2985.this is a nice truck, I took it to a car show when it was  done and out of 700 vehicles it got top 100 and these were top quality cars and trucks. This is now the point to explain why I would even consider selling it. I am a truck driver by trade and after siting all day car shows do not appeal to me.my son wants to start trail riding but don't have money for two new machines. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.Andrew

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.

GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles

Fri, 04 Jan 2013

As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
