Up for sale is my 1962 Chevrolet C10 truck.  Over all the truck is in great shape for its age.  It is by no means perfect, but it certainly a one of a kind truck with that old school look!  It has been painted flat black and sits on 22x9 old style steel/steelie wheels with 285 45 22 Bridgestone tires that are in really good shape.   Most of the interior is brand new.  It has a brand new original "old" steering wheel, brand new carpet, and a brand new seat cover.  It comes with the original radio (see pics), but currently has a CD player installed with an MP3 jack and 6.25 inch kicker speakers in some tasteful plastic enclosures.  It has a manual 4 speed transmission (not a muncie) and a fresh 350 (less than 3,000 miles since the rebuild) with an aluminum intake and Edelbrock 600 carb, full length headers, and a huge aluminum radiator.  It also has a brand new wiring kit from front to back with a new style fuse box.  It has a touch of modern gauges with an original speedometer (see pics).  Truck sits low, but not so low that it cant be taken just about anywhere.  This was a daily driver for the last couple of years!  It has current tags and inspection for the next year or so here in Texas and a clear Texas title.  There is no warranty written or otherwise implied and is being sold as is.  Feel free to ask any questions.  I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as the truck is for sale here locally.  I can assist with shipping, but there is no shipping with the truck as it is up to the buyer to arrange shipping.  I can deliver the truck with in a 300 mile radius from 77407 for an extra fee.  A non-refundable $500 deposit is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction.  Cash or a cashiers check from a major US back for the remaining balance.  Funds must clear prior to arranging delivery.  If you have any other questions feel free to contact me at 281-782-3505.  Thanks for looking!!!

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
