I have owned this car since 1988. It had an amateur restoration before I bought it. It is a very nice driver
quality car that runs and drives excellent. It doesn't need anything, just drive and enjoy. It is very reliable. It
has an original Powerpack 265 V-8 and Powerglide transmission that have been completely rebuilt to stock specs
professionally. It originally came with factory air and a padded dash which are listed on the cowl tag. Both were
removed before I bought it. It still has the factory air outlets in the dash. The interior is in great shape with
no rips or tears. It is also paint code 703 which is harbor and Nassau blue. The red and white paint and interior
were already done when I got it. Since I bought it all the exterior chrome plated pieces and emblems have been
replaced. It has a complete new exhaust system. I also installed power front disc brakes, electronic ignition in
the original distributor and a new edelbrock carburetor. Everything else is stock. E-Z-EYE glass. There are some
small bubbles in the paint on the lower door corners. There is no rust in the floorboards from the firewall to the
tailgate. The undercarriage was treated with heavy duty undercoating when new so the floorboards have been well
protected. It has also been kept in a climate controlled garage since the day I bought it. (30 years) I bought the
car in Southern California and as far as the previous owner knew, it had always been in So. California.
It has a Classic Auto Sound AM-FM cassette radio. The tires are about 75% except one is 50% tread. Everything on
this car works except the clock and the gas gauge is not accurate.

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
